Constant updating with large dowloads

My Desktop is continually updating what seems to be my entire library with downloads of more then 2GB each time. After the download all seems to be okay, but after a shut down and restart the download starts all over again.

Both my laptop and desktop were upgraded to Windows 10, clean install, but I'm not having the same problem on my laptop.

Any ideas what's forcing the update?

Sorry to hear you are having problems.

To help us understand what is going on please enable diagnostic logging and post logs in a reply to this thread after starting Logos and letting the downloads complete and then exiting Logos. Details at https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/windows/report-problem

Ok. but It's going to take a little while to complete the download again.

Here's the log as it stands at the moment and you can see all the entries that have been logged for re-downloading.

It's also beginning to show the downloads coming through - hopefully there's something useful there already.

I can't work out what is going on from that - hopefully someone else will be able to

Some further questions:

  • Do you have a log after everything had completed and you shut down Logos?
  • Does indexing take place after each download?
  • Do you have an indexer.log file?

On restarting Logos normally it confirms that 1,968 resources were updated. As it is it all seems fine - if I mouse over the sync button it reports "Synchronization is enabled, and all items are up to date."

If I go "Update now" it reports, "No updates were found".

The question is why does then it goes through process continually. It's also not every day.

I will notify here when it again does the download of all the resources.

So again today Logos is again downloading my entire library of 2GB plus

Previous log files above

Now uninstalling and reinstalling to see if that will solve the issue

Please ensure logging is enabled OR start Logos with CTRL key held to obtain logs. Upload the logs if problem is not resolved with the new version 6.6.

Will do.

But that also makes me wonder if it was updating all the resources each time there was a program update? Coincidence that the massive download coincided with the release of 6.6?

That wasn't seen in the logs supplied, which is why I urged you to enable logging as logs will always be available after you reinstall.

Seems re-install or 6.6 corrected the problem. Updated to 6.6 SR-1 without re downloading the resources. Will post again if problem reoccurs.
