Earlier today we rolled out a big change to the way app.logos.com handles your library. These changes are mostly on the back end, paving the way forward for awesome features in the coming weeks and months, but there are a few nice nuggets today. Check it out at https://app.logos.com/library

Awesome things you may notice:

  • Custom User Metadata. Custom titles and abbreviations are now displayed and searchable.
  • Title Sorting Improved. Titles with punctuation, for example, are no longer at the top of the list, as well as titles that start with an article.
  • Unavailable Resources. You may notice some resources which have a "Not available" label which previously didn't show up in your library. These are simply resources which you do own, and can view in Logos 6, but for varying reasons aren't supported on the web platform. Usually this means the resource has a unique format and hasn't been ported to the web yet. It could also mean that the resource is not licensed for the web (a publisher decision). This way you see the things you own, and if something is unavailable that you really want to see, you can now raise a stink :)
  • Performance Improvements. Especially for those of you with large libraries (3K+ books).

Less than stellar things you may notice:

  • Priority sorting doesn't work currently
  • Previews for books you don't own are broken.
  • A book or two missing (don't panic!). I'm sure it's still there, but there may be a few kinks left to work out when books should and shouldn't be shown. Just reply to this thread and look into it.

I welcome your questions and comments!

Keep up the good work on this! I appreciate the frequent improvements. The web app is coming in handy, allowing me to run Logos on a very cheap Windows tablet.

I look forward to seeing this get better and better (especially adding the Systematic Theology tool to the Passage Guide!)
