Japanese resources coming to Logos?
I know about the Shinkaiyaku Japanese Bible that is languishing in Pre-Pub.
But I was shocked to see this new resource show up;
Studies in Revelation (4 vols.) (Japanese) by Jon Paulien
Does this mean we will see more Japanese resources in Logos?

When released should we refer to it as the Matthew C. Jones Memorial Edition of the Shinkaiyaku Japanese Bible?

I am not sure of the legality of a change of name to this product. This is probably something that faithlife/Logos and the nihon seisho kankōkai would have to come to agreement on. Here is a link to a website that may be of help: https://www.seisho.or.jp/english/MJ. Smith said:When released should we refer to it as the Matthew C. POST SCRIPT: By the way what is meant by Memorial? Does this refer to the fact that this is an older translation that has been replaced by the 2017 version? Or Does this refer to Matthew C. Jones? Is he no longer with us?

Yes, he died several years ago. He, DMB, and myself were ex-Church of Christ/Stone-Campbellites pushing for them having their own base packages. He was much loved on the forums.

I, like many, do miss him on the boards, and pray that his family is doing well.
Perhaps we could also call the release the SuperTramp Global Edition of the Shinkaiyaku Japanese Bible.
Also, I am still hopeful for a Restoration Movement Base Package in the future.

The new CEO might make this happen 👍

Thank you so much for the information!
I wasn't aware of this, and now feel little bad at posting on this thread.

If you do no mind me asking ... what kind of books or resources do you think should be included in such a package?

I would like to see collections of works by McGarvey, Lard, Lamar, Cotrell, Sizemore, Shelly, James Smith, etc.
These would include: Unlocking the Scriptures Series and other past Standard Publishing works, College Press Commentaries, volumes from the College Press Restoration Reprint Library and other College Press works, as well as works from Gospel Light Publishing.
Some of these authors and volumes are already available in Logos of course, but a base package would certainly be nice.
I would also love to see the Bible Study Textbook Series (the green commentaries) in Logos. The works of Gareth Reece are now available digitally, and I would love to see them in Logos as well.
I would also welcome works by authors from other branches of the Restoration Movement.

Don’t forget James B. Coffman commentaries and the Thomas B. Warren collection (already in Logos). There are a couple of outlined commentaries from GBN that have been added. This would be the equivalent of Roy Gingrich outlined commentaries but actually better and more up-to-date!
In other words, there’s plenty of material to create a RM Base Package.
