We built a dataset using Bullinger's Figures of Speech. It'll be integrated like most of our datasets in the following ways:
- Information panel
- Context menu
- Search
I don't think this version will have any new guide sections, but we'll consider that for a future version if there's interest (maybe something along the lines of the Greek Grammatical Constructions guide section).

If you have the book by Bullinger (here: https://www.logos.com/product/1951/figures-of-speech-used-in-the-bible-explained-and-illustrated) you know that he essentially provides a catalogue of figures. Each article has a title, and a host of references to the Bible within the article.
This dataset takes the references within the article and allows you to search for them by name. It is important to note that this is not a comprehensive analysis of figures of speech in the Bible, it is essentially a catalogue of the copious examples Bullinger himself uses in his book to illustrate the figure of speech.
Take, for example, his article on Aposiopesis:
If you want to look at all the examples Bullinger used, with the Figures of Speech dataset, you can now do this:
This information presently surfaces in the information window (I believe it will be available via right-click with a future beta).You could mix the Label search and look for other types of information within the references that are labelled.
It can be searched either by the Description or Name properties. Here's an example of what shows in the Information window when you hover/click somewhere in Matt 7:2:

Hi John. It would look like this. Note, however, "all Metonymies in the Bible" may not be equivalent with "everything Bullinger cited as an example in his articles on Metonymy". The latter is essentially what this dataset represents (and this search returns).

The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge has a figure of Speech Index on Page 1538 with 185 figures of Speech with their Scriptures. Is it possible that this will be integrated into the tool at some point in the future?

Rick (and the rest of FL), I just want to say thank you for all the hard work that has gone into all the datasets. Datasets such as these are a truly unique feature among Bible software programs, and I am glad to see so many of them developed. We users are spoiled and will inevitably keep asking for more (such as this eventually being expanded to be comprehensive [;)]), but too often we forget to say thank you for what we have. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!

Will the terms in the information panel become links Back to Bullinger? Will there also be pop-ups like we see for Semantic Figure Category?
I don't see this integrated into the context menu, yet. That will be great. It would be great to be able to initiate a search from that menu for examples of the referenced figure of speech.

The following is from the Introduction of the New Treasury and well worth considering:
"Figures of speech are identified. I believe this edition of The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge contains the most comprehensive listing and identification of the figures of speech in the Bible ever produced in English."
"This is the first time that such information has been made readily accessible to the ordinary Bible reader in one source. The Companion Bible identifies many of the figures of speech in its margins, and has a list with brief definitions in its Appendix 6. However, users of The Companion Bible who come across an important instance of the use of a figure of speech are not led in that volume to the other instances of its use. But to learn to identify a figure when it is used, one needs to see it in many contexts until one has developed a "feel" for the figure, and can learn its characteristics enough to be able to identify it wherever it occurs. Of course, one can consult E. W. Bullinger’s Figures of Speech Used in the Bible, but there are many instances given in the margins of The Companion Bible which are not listed or discussed in that book, and many instances given in the book not given in The Companion Bible. This edition of the Treasury remedies that, and furnishes additional references to the figures not found in either of those two excellent sources."

I am the culprit who spent a year to improve and extend and correct the Figures of Speech Index in Bullinger's work on the subject. What you have in my New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge is indeed the most complete collection of references to figures of speech found in the Bible ever produced. I have been working on extending the number of cross references I provided in my New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge and also in my book, Nelson's Cross Reference Guide to the Bible. My task is nearly completed. I am now doing final proofreading, and finished Hebrews chapter 6 this evening. I have now added still more instances of the figures of speech in my new work. Having a Figures of Speech dataset in Logos would assist greatly in Bible study for us all.

Thank you for your meticulous work and tremendous contribution Jerome! The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge was massively influential in initiating my Study of the Bible. I still consider it one of the most valuable resources I have.

Thank you for your kind comments, James Taylor. I forgot to mention in my prior post that I found additional references to figures of speech in some of E. W. Bullinger's other writings not found in either the Companion Bible or his extensive volume, Figures of Speech Used in the Bible. I found several good figure of speech identifications in Matthew Poole's three-volume commentary on the Bible, too. In any case, I am encouraged to learn someone has found my work in creating The New Treasury of Scripture Knowledge helpful in Bible study.
