Won't Start
Help! My always reliable Logos 6 won't start up.
When my Dell, Windows 7 computer froze, I manually shut down. When restarted, Windows repaired some corrupted files on hard drive. Now, when I try to start Logos 6, at the point of "Signing In," the program stops.
I'm not very tech savvy, but hopefully can follow any instructions.

Have you tried repairing your logos installation in the Programs and Features section of the Control Panel? If not,
1. Open the Control Panel
2. Open Programs and Features
3. Find Logos and right click
4. Select Repair

Any idea how to fix this on a Mac? Logos was fine yesterday but today I won't open. I'm on iOS X and my Logos software is 1 or 2 updates behind, but I'm on 6. I'm thinking I'll have to reinstall.

Hi Tonja! Sorry you are having troubles. [:s]
There was an issue a couple of months ago which caused Mac users to be unable to open their application. The fix was to reinstall. Since you suggest that you are out of date, it may very well be that you have the same issue. Also, since you are out of date, you might as well update anyway.
Delete the app from the applications folder and download the newest engine (see link in my signature line). NOTE: you will not lose your resources, notes, indices, etc. since those are kept elsewhere.
If that doesn't fix the problem, please create a new thread (which is always a good idea when seeking help) and provide more info. You may need to post logs. Also, see my signature line. Let us know how it goes.

Please ensure logging is enabled and upload logs after a failed login attempt. Details at https://www.logos.com/support/logos6/windows/report-problem

In that folder!
Right click the Logos Logo Files folder, choose "Send to ... compressed (zipped) folder", and upload the zip file it creates via the paperclip icon.

I ask because it looks to me at the first pass like a problem with the document manager (more after I've done some searching).

So just to verify... every folder, like awesomium, cef, logos, all those files, etc. containing word "crash" and "error"
And everything in Logos4, except for command line you provided above.

No, that's not what I meant at all! Sorry for the confusion and thanks for checking.
Open Windows Explorer to C:\Users\LRCong\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\qz2kd0w4.idw\LibraryCatalog\
In that folder and that folder only delete all the files EXCEPT catalog.db

I am trying to open Logos on a mac and it won't open. I'm running El Capitan. I install and click open, but I never get a sign in screen.

Please create a new thread, explain your issue clearly, and provide appropriate details. Is this a brand new installation? You should only get a sign in screen if it is a brand new installation. What do you mean you click "open"? From the dock?

My Logos 5 quit working yesterday on my Windows 10 laptop; so, I updated Logos engine to version 6. Now, I cannot run the program unless I "run as administrator", which prevents my smart tags from operating correctly in Office 365. Help!
