Do you mean duplicating an entire Notes Document or an individual note?

If you mean a Note document (that is, the whole notes file stored in your documents folder), then yes, but not from the software.

You can make a copy of a note file using  documents.logos.com .

You can access the site either from your browser, or directly from Logos. To access from Logos simply click the "share documents" link at the bottom of the documents panel.

Once there, click the Actions drop down and select duplicate. That will create a second copy of the note. Once it syncs to your local machine you can give the Document a new name.

If you are referring to individual notes in a Document file, then I am unaware of how this can be done. Graham, an expert, will have to speak to this.

Thanks, Myke. That is what I was trying to do. Much appreciated.

Yes, I meant an entire Notes Document. I was able to do it following Myke's directions below. But while were at it other than just a normal copy&paste operation, can you duplicate individual notes in a Notes Document?

Another question on the general topic of Notes. Is it possible to delete multiple notes in a Notes document at once?

Not that I know of - what would you hope to achieve with this?

No, you cannot. I wish you could. But there is no way to select multiple notes at one time, so you can neither copy nor delete multiple notes at one time. I have suggested this on several occasions. I hope they create this ability in the future. Until then, we deal with them one by one. Im trying to move thousands of highlights from a solid color palette to document specific notes and I am having to move them via drag and drop one at the time. And Logos doesn't process these moves efficiently either, at least not in Mac. There is a momentary drag in the software during each move. Definitely wish FL would rework the notes functionality to give more options in this area.

As usual, Graham is right. You'd have to have both the old note open and the new note open, then you can copy and paste from one note to the other, but this is a long and tedious process. But there is really no other way to do this. Sorry.

Come to think of it, I am not sure what I would accomplish, since it's quite easy to just copy aspects of one note into a new one. Big Smile

Thanks, Myke. By the way, I am not familiar with the "drag & drop" procedure you are referring to. How does that work. You can point me to a tutorial if you know of one. Thanks again.

I don't have a video. However, it's pretty simple.

Just open up the Notes document that contains your notes, and a new Notes document where you wish for the notes to be moved to. Make sure the notes documents are side-by-side.

Then click on the notes indicator (small icon to the left of the note) associated with the note you want to move, Hold down your mouse (left click), and drag it to the new Notes document and release. It's pretty simple.

Play around with it and you'll get the hang of it very quickly. Just remember, it's not an expedient process by any means.

Are you aware that a note can have multiple "attachment points" - so you can, for example, have a note linked to some text in one verse and then attach it to some text in another?

No, Graham, I am not aware of this. Where might I find out more about this?

It is ntroduced, and discussed, in https://community.logos.com/forums/t/92683.aspx

Please post back if you have further questions about how it works
