Hi, I was wondering why does the price of this book is not according to the publisher.

Ligonier Reformation Trust - http://www.ligonier.org/blog/abortion-rational-look-emotional-issue-free-ebook/

Logos - https://www.logos.com/product/28055/abortion-a-rational-look-at-an-emotional-issue

Would love to add it to my library!

I assume you're asking why it isn't free as the Ligonier edition is.  You should note that the hardcover edition of the book is the same as Logos is asking.  Also, I would assume that the free version is probably a PDF which doesn't compare to a Logos edition.  Usually a considerable amount of tagging is involved in any Logos resource.  Tagging isn't free.  It costs Logos to do the tagging.  Note that the public domain works Logos offers also have a charge even though there is no fee for Logos to use the resource itself — it involves the tagging.  Besides, don't you want to keep your favorite publisher alive and kicking to be able to publish more?

I can understand that, my only question is then why does Vyrso does it? What is the difference if I have books I've purchased from vyrso added to my logos library? If it can be done it is not because they lose money, because they would not do anything to lose money. So...

It's exactly the same answer: tagging. Vyrso books aren't tagged - Faithlife receives the ePub format files from the publishers and runs them through a server-side automated process very comparable to the Personal Books compiler we can use for Word files. Thus the files get bible references detected (automatically, and thus maybe very wrong) and that's it, no manual input, no personnel cost. And a different contract for the royalties, giving Faithlife maybe the same deal as Christianbooks.com gets for selling ebooks, and publishers waiving royalties for their own promo deals accross ebook sellers.

By the way,

It is prudent when looking over prices on the web site to make careful comparisons.

Case in point:

"Abortion a rational look" is part for this package:

However, the total of $180.35 for the individual titles for me is LESS than the dynamic package price?

Motto: Beware of and check your dynamic pricing!
