We integrate Planning Center with Proclaim for our worship sets.  In Planning Center, they have a feature where if I put a double colon "::" in front of a line, it creates a new slide.  Is there something similar in Proclaim?  For instance...if I had a chorus that was 4 lines as follows:

This is the first line of my chorus

This is the second line of my chorus

This is the third line of my chorus

This is the fourth line of my chorus

Could I break it up in PCO (without making a new Chorus out of it) something like this and have it create 2 slides instead of one:

This is the first line of my chorus

This is the second line of my chorus

::This is the third line of my chorus

This is the fourth line of my chorus

Thanks!

Proclaim has two options.

Add a "--" on a line all by itself and Proclaim will start a new slide with the next line. This is a slide break.

Example:

Text on slide 1
--
Text on slide 2

Results in two slides, one with "Text on slide 1" and one with "Text on slide 2"

Or add a "++" at the beginning of a line and Proclaim will create a new slide that contains the text of the previous slide and the text following the ++. This is used for revealing or fading in lines of text as you are presenting.

Example:

Text on slide 1
++Text to reveal on slide 1

Results in two slides, one with "Text on slide 1" and one with "Text on slide 1" followed by the line "Text to reveal on slide 1".

Hello Nick.  Will the "--" method import from PCO or does it have to be done within the Proclaim interface?  Sorry...I'm a total noob with this.

Thanks!

Hello Art, Nick's response is accurate, but only for Content service item kinds.

Are you using the import feature? http://support.proclaimonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203802845-Import-from-Planning-Center-Online

If so then the Planning Center song items should be imported as Song service items in Proclaim. Proclaim will automatically create new slides when there is a blank line in the lyrics content. So instead of adding :: in PCO, just add a blank line. Here is an example for illustration.
