I know it's pretty expensive, but for those who are interested AND can afford these, they seem quite interesting to say the least.

Indeed! It just goes to show that Faithlife does pay attention to suggestions. Steep price, although the Pre-Pub does at least undercut prices elsewhere, and it appears to be a unique resource, particularly in its extensive introductions and annotations (3,302 pages with translations and everything, according to Faithlife/Logos).

I own the hardback 3 set and it cost me $235.00USD when it first came out. I placed the order when the set was offered during pre-publishing in 2013 and I waited one year to received my books. Amazon.com offers the 3 set for $260.00 which is more than what Faithlife is offering and you can use the LOGOS features of the software. I'm not advertising for LOGOS but this set is a must for those who are interested in this subject.
I guess I fit under Milkman's 'not' group. I read all the reviews. And JPS is certainly well regarded.
But if you have a fairly complete Logos ancient library, where's the value?
Certainly, for many (most?) who don't own such, this would be nice.
I guess I'm not enthused, though some of the new 'firsts' translations would be nice (eg Ps-Ph).
It truly is a wonderful work, I've used it on several occasions and I am very happy to have it. Thankfully I got it in my other main Bible program. I hope you can get it in Logos ASAP.

I have it in print. But, boy, would it be nice to have in Logos.
It was released in Accordance in 2015. I am a bit surprised that it hasn’t made in into Logos by now. But the PrePub system can be quite a hurdle sometimes.

But the PrePub system can be quite a hurdle sometimes.
PrePub works well for mainstream customer products. [There are enough current customers who promise to buy it to pay for it]
However for products needed to gain new customers in smaller groups: the needed products do not pass PrePub and we do not get the new customers as we do not have the products they want so they do not join us. And then we wonder why small group XXX customers does not grow. The answer: the needed products to get new customers failed to pass PrePub. [[Catch 22]] Perhaps some of the smaller groups need to identify what is needed to gain customers from that group and the publisher needs to make them available. Problem is that the publisher would need to eat the upfront cost of dozens of products to get each small group interested. [[without a GOLD level package of just that small groups product they will not come - not a package with just some of what they want but one filled 100% with items that group wants]] [[And then some of the current customers often see the works of some small groups as heresy.]]
I've pre-order it along with other titles that seem stuck in the Pre-Pub limbo realm of continued non-existence. I noticed Keener's 2014 update to his IVP NT Background which he couldn't wait to update due to errors he himself acknowledged as his thinking has matured is also in Accordance but not even given a pre-pub on Logos even though I have suggested it.
I am not sure what to solution is.
It is moving up in Pre-Pub. It just needs some more support!
Thanks for the comments in this thread. Its really helpful to read what people think about such a resource. Consequently, I've now added my support to this pre-pub and hope that it gets through the process. Keep well Paul
Thanks to all! This has seen a recent surge in activity and is not only in the "safe" zone of orange but seems to be on its way to being published finally!
God Bless!
It is edging closer and closer to the finish line! After a good while, I have seen some encouraging recent activity! I'm excited! Let's bring it home!
This pre-pub now has an estimated May 23 ship date.
Excelent!
I somehow missed this pre-pub - unfortunately. How much was it as pre-pub?
Sorry that you missed it, Armin. It was $199.99.
Maybe Logos 8 library expansions might be available next month, and it might show up in the Jewish Studies collection? Who knows!
