With the Commandments of the Law and the Israelite Feasts and Sacrifices we have most of the information needed to understand OT law. The one interactive we are missing is the Penalties for Violation of the Law

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

Yes

This would be a worthwhile addition.

MJ,

Huh?  What's it all about?

If one obeys the law, must one be concern about the "Penalties for Violation of the Law?"  CM

I don't happen to believe that I am subject to the Jewish law ... I leave that for my Jewish relations. But if I am to have a reasonable understanding of the history of Judeo-Christian thought on capital punishment, for example, I need to know which Torah commands carried a capital penalty.

Thanks, MJ.

Are you referring to The Ten-commandments (Ex. 20 & Duet 5) of the Bible and/or what is said in The Talmud of the 613 commandments in the Torah; 248 Positive Commandments (do's) and 365 Negative Commandments (do not's)?

Regardless, your reasoning is understood. However, the question remains.

Bible Search of Torah for:

death,punish,penalty,compensate,"pay the amount","life for life","eye for eye",gore,divide

includes Exodus 21:22-24 that is not in the "Commandments of the Law" interactive.

what is said in The Talmud of the 613 commandments in the Torah

This which is what the interactive Commandments of the Law contains and is the level at which the penalties are specified in the Bible.
