Yeah seems a bit strange approach.  Hard to understand the business model here.  You give us money that we give back to you.  I guess the thought is that will generate sales on items that cost more than the credit.

Every so often Logos will do something to promote their CP program - this could be another way of doing that.

Also, actual cash will generate interest from the bank.

It dropped off of my orders page and I don't think I received an email about it. I think I remember seeing it there a couple of days ago.

It's been languishing at barely over 20% for a long time. It seems most people don't know about it. I cannot explain it reasonably otherwise.

But the several dozen of us who actually put in bids could bid the max amount.

This was one that I thought would move to production quickly, but for some reason it hasn't.  I really like the NT audio version and would like to have the OT as well.

I've already raised my bid.

Now languishing at almost 85%...

I have, but right now the high point on the curve is $8. Not so bad!

Bid now.

Does maxing out your bid help it at all?

Relative to bidding the present amount that is closest to passing 100%? No, except that it guarantees that if the highest amount changes, you still get the resource. It also makes the whole curve a little bit higher, perhaps eventually having a positive psychological influence on getting people to bid. People tend to prefer to bid on things that are close to the mark.

No, because a bid by a user at $20 is ALSO a bid for $8. You would have to have enough users bid up to cross the line to make it worthwhile. We need new bidders.

How much would current bidders need to raise their bid above $8 to push it into production?  I know this would be difficult to assess, because some bidders (like me) are already above $8.

It isn't so much a question of "how much," but rather, "how many." Here is the graph as it currently stands:

Notice that there is a SEVERE drop off after $8. The only thing I can say for sure is that if everyone who bid raised it to $10, it would probably cross at that (or $9). Here is my math:

The $5 price point is just above 50%. If twice as many users bid $5, it would pass. If ALL of the $5 bidders bid TWICE as much, it would pass.

Okay, I just raised my bid to $10. Who else will join me so that we can get this into publication?
