https://www.logos.com/product/65159/lexham-english-bible-leb-with-audio-old-testament
currently bid at $8.
"Help us pay for the development of the Lexham English Bible Audio Old Testament and we'll match your contribution, determined by the final bid amount, in Logos credit."
Yeah seems a bit strange approach. Hard to understand the business model here. You give us money that we give back to you. I guess the thought is that will generate sales on items that cost more than the credit.
Every so often Logos will do something to promote their CP program - this could be another way of doing that.
Also, actual cash will generate interest from the bank.
What happened to the product page?
I was looking forward to this... [:|]
It is probably in the trash bin next to the Pastorum 2013 videos. [N] [:(]
Broken link?
It dropped off of my orders page and I don't think I received an email about it. I think I remember seeing it there a couple of days ago.
It's back!
Vote everyone, since you'll get a coupon of the same amount as the purchase price, this resource is actually free!
I'm in.
It's been languishing at barely over 20% for a long time. It seems most people don't know about it. I cannot explain it reasonably otherwise.
But the several dozen of us who actually put in bids could bid the max amount.
This was one that I thought would move to production quickly, but for some reason it hasn't. I really like the NT audio version and would like to have the OT as well.
I've already raised my bid.
It's been languishing at barely over 20% for a long time.
Now languishing at almost 85%...
I have, but right now the high point on the curve is $8. Not so bad!
Bid now.
Does maxing out your bid help it at all?
Relative to bidding the present amount that is closest to passing 100%? No, except that it guarantees that if the highest amount changes, you still get the resource. It also makes the whole curve a little bit higher, perhaps eventually having a positive psychological influence on getting people to bid. People tend to prefer to bid on things that are close to the mark.
No, because a bid by a user at $20 is ALSO a bid for $8. You would have to have enough users bid up to cross the line to make it worthwhile. We need new bidders.
How much would current bidders need to raise their bid above $8 to push it into production? I know this would be difficult to assess, because some bidders (like me) are already above $8.

It isn't so much a question of "how much," but rather, "how many." Here is the graph as it currently stands:
Notice that there is a SEVERE drop off after $8. The only thing I can say for sure is that if everyone who bid raised it to $10, it would probably cross at that (or $9). Here is my math:
The $5 price point is just above 50%. If twice as many users bid $5, it would pass. If ALL of the $5 bidders bid TWICE as much, it would pass.
Makes sense. Thanks.
The only thing I can say for sure is that if everyone who bid raised it to $10, it would probably cross at that (or $9). Here is my math:
Okay, I just raised my bid to $10. Who else will join me so that we can get this into publication?
Well, I'm in at $12 since five years...

I'm at $17, and I hope lots of people either raise their bids or freshly bid at $10 or higher.
I’m in at $17 since March 2016. That means every price point below gets my vote. If everyone sitting ok $8 moved to $12 it would be interesting to see where the curve would sit. Once it does cross the line momentum bidding may pull the price back down.

It would cross a little over $9, supposing no other bids changed.
Just bumped mine up to $10

I've been above $10 for several years. I really hope this makes it into production soon. I spend a lot of time driving and it's safer listening to the bible than trying to read it. [:P]

But you are likely to get to heaven quicker if you read it. (Providing that reading while driving isn't a mortal sin that is?)
To theological?
I did.
I just joined you [Y] I think we're going to need a lot more people to do the same to get it past the post

Yes, I agree. I am grateful for any movement, but it would take very large numbers to move it up a little. It would take less people if they moved it up a lot. [:)]
The real thing here is we need more new bidders to jump in.

Yes and I think people, both current and existing bidders need to enlarger their vision and move to a minimum of $12 bid. Personally I've been in at $17 from the start. It was a no-brainer to bid the highest amount given whatever the successful bid amount is, FaithLife will give that back to you in credit. So by supporting this product over the line to be free for all Logos users in the future I have to make a small sacrifice of committing to putting my hand up and saying I'm prepared to purchase up to $17 in Logos credit. Seems like a reasonable dealt to me in service of all Logos users who want to use this resource. I'm sure all of us will find something we can put so use a small amount of Logos credit.
I'm sure all of us will find something we can put so use a small amount of Logos credit.
And since Logos credit doesn't expire, we don't need to worry about finding it right away.
Just bid, everybody! [:D]
I have rasied it to 18 USD.
Moved mine to $10.00
Here is the graph as it currently stands:
It's a less encouraging graph right now, for reasons unknown to me.
Well... It could be either 1) costs have gone up, 2) people have withdrawn bids or 3) a combination of 1 & 2.
Reminds me of:
https://www.logos.com/product/55687/encyclopedia-of-hebrew-language-and-linguistics
I think it passed go, got recosted without explanation and lost 50% of its success. I learned ... if it doesn't catch on within a couple months, it's a Logosian relic.
This one below is one I'm 'betting' will get 50%'d. It's too close. I'll have to Kindle it.

Yes.
I'm in at $10.00
Great!
Maybe now we will see this move into production.
Well, we see that it was well under-funded in CP as my $8 is now $24.99 in pre-pub and the funding level is still being evaluated
