I would appreciate recommendations for books on Scripture meditation, preferably books entirely on Scripture meditation (and not merely touching on the subject). And they don't necessarily have to be available in Logos. Thanks in advance.

Because the terms meditation and contemplation are used differently in different traditions, essentially reversed usage, I hope some of these are on target:

Let me know which of the above interests you and I can provide resources with more depth.

Some additional resources:

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

Great question and great answers. Thanks for this. It is something I was wondering about myself so thanks for the recommendations.

Thanks so much! I know I said books but these look like they'll be very helpful. Thankfully, it's the weekend so I'll get a chance to go through some of them and get back to you.

Rodney Phillips:

This one caught my eye as well when I found it on Logos. I put it on my wishlist. I also found this one which I'll go ahead and pick up over the weekend.

The trouble with searching for such resources on Logos is that the word 'meditation' brings up a ton of devotional resources; it proved too much to wade through after the second 60-item page.

Let me know what style appeals to you and then I'll suggest books.
