Incomplete tagging Great Books of the Western World
Come on Logos ... can't you remember that Dominicans have to complete a degree in philosophy before they can do so in Theology? Yes, it is relevant. You know names like Plotinus, Augustine, Aqqqquinas, Hobbes, Bacon, Locke, Berkeley, Kant ...? They are philosophers and they are in GBWW ... and indexed in the Syntopicon. So I assumed that topics in the Syntopicon would be treated like dictionaries/indexes in the Everything Search ... but no, GWW doesn't appear to have the syntopicon tagged for topic ... I'm still deciding if I am disappointed, annoyed or angry ... but I am not pleased that the obvious was missed yet again.
And see how easy it is to find the search results at about 10 pages per click ...

As I am devoted to seeing to it that this resource proves to be one of our most robust, I support your concern with this issue and would ask that developers address it ASAP. I myself am not disappointed, annoyed or angry ....I am happy that users are looking for ways to improve this vast resource and its utility.

Hard to say what is going on till FL chimes in. But I think back to a recent post by a FL employee stating such and such a feature release was being abandoned due to staff cuts. We may just have to get use to Logos books not being what they use to be.

It appears you're asking for factbook type support for this resource. Typically those are reserved for three types of resources: 1) encyclopedias, 2) journals, 3) mobile ed courses.
However, when we analyzed this resource we felt providing topic searching/factbook support would be useful and made a choice to independently do the work apart from the normal production of the resources. This is why we also chose not to make and promise such connection on the product page.
Since we've already begun the work to make the Syntopicon appear in Factbook, it should be available in approximately 6 weeks.

I'm really enjoying the Syntopicon. With more and more linkage, it could become a premier Noet selling point. I'm also happy finally to have Plotinus, though it could use some work.
