Well, I need a bit more information but the illuminations are great.

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

Based on delamination analysis, it's my hardcover NIV Study Bible.

The Oldest Bible on earth doesn't exist anymore, you probably mean the oldest copy of a copy ;)

For some reason I had to cut an paste the link into a new browser window.  Hovering wouldn't let me click it.  Pasting here to see if it helps.

Book repair is a hobby of mine.

Here's a site with a bit more information and some pictures in context.

Ethiopia is one of the oldest countries in the world and there are oldest symbols of early civilizations in Ethiopia including the Bible.

The common or official language of Ethiopia is Amharic that has very similar sounds with the Aramaic, the spoken language of Christ.

Somewhat related to topic: From what I understand Ethiopian Christians are primarily Ethiopian Orthodox (and is the oldest Oriental Orthodox Church known). Does someone who is Orthodox have a good resource that distinguishes between the different types of Orthodox churches?....I have googled but would like to study deeper. Even better if it is in the Orthodox Silver package 😀

I'm not Orthodox and this is not complete re: African Christianity but

The Church of the East: An Illustrated History of Assyrian Christianity Baumer, Christoph, I B Tauris Company is an excellent overview.

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."
