I thought that book used to be available on Logos. Am I right? If so, what happened to it?
Yes you are, it used to be vailable years ago. AFAIK the publisher took it out of their contract with Logos - for whatever reason. Maybe they wanted to generate a larger selling potential for the updated version they planned (which even showed up on Amazon), but never materialized. Maybe they just didn't want the two bestselling resources in that category of their catalog (this and Stuart's OT Exegesis) to be with Logos, but rather sell dead trees or another electronic version. Sad story.[:(]
It's available in Spanish if you can read the language 😉
It also gets suggested every year or two in the Suggestions forum - I even suggested it there myself once. I'd love to have both the Fee and Stuart volumes available in Logos.
That is a loss to the Logos library.
I get the impression that it might be at an end of contract situation since Fee has passed away. Maybe someone is working on an update of this classic textbook.
When did Fee pass away? I have seen no mention of this using "the google".
Dr. Fee is still with us. [:)]
I've heard that Gordon Fee has stopped writing. No news of his death.
Confirmed by Google? http://pneumareview.com/honoring-pentecostal-theologian-gordon-fee/
IIRC, there could have been some intention, or some work done, by him to revise New Testament Exegesis, but things have since changed.
Sorry, I must have confused Fee with some other guy. We've lost so many lately.
You might be thinking of his wife, Maudine, who passed away in November 2014.
It was put out by Westminster John Knox Press. I have the resource and the file is still in lbxlls format so it has been quite sometime since it has been available to purchase.
Fee's book, along with Stuart's volume on the Old Testament, are now available on Pre-pub.
Thanks GregW for catching this one! I just placed my prepub. 50% off, not bad. 2 great resources for $19.99 is almost a steal!
DAL
Yes, thanks. That's a fairly good pre-pub deal.
I also have the Fee resource in Logos, together with the 3rd edition of Stuart ... both Libronix.
I wonder if the Fee book will be updated automatically ... I understand that to usually be the case.
I wonder what options will be available for those who have the older 3rd edition of Stuart ... I cannot see myself paying $19.99 to move up to a newer edition.
Only if same edition from same publisher, if it's different we have to pay for it and that is fair.
