Hi,
What is the FTP server to Libronix 3.0g
I tried to update my resources and the update process failed.
Thanks
Hi Edgar,
Welcome to the Logos Forums!
"FTP" stands for File Transfer Protocol. It is a methodology for transferring files across networks, including the web. Libronix uses (or used) it for delivering files remotely.
This the General forum for Logos. You might get a good answer to your question here. However, there is a forum specifically for Libronix users. If you would post there, you are more likely to be talking to people who are more familiar with this older version of the software.

Hm, I last checked it back in October when I pointed someone to it to download a resource. https://community.logos.com/forums/p/118064/775074.aspx
Apparently it has now been shut down. http://ftp.logos.com/

I have been trying to sync my licenses in L3 for a few weeks but I keep getting a message telling me that I need to be connected to the internet even though I am. What's up with that?

Actually, your ftp url is malformed. The url should tell your browser to employ ftp protocol instead of http. Try: ftp://ftp.logos.com/
That just worked for me and gave me a list of what looked like Libronix files. Perhaps it was just down briefly? Here's what the beginning of a very long page looks like using Firefox as a browser:

Hi again Edgar,
While the link below looks like a reference to the file, your link was from a directory named "lbxbooks" which does not exist any more. It looks like they reorganized the directory structure since your software was installed. However, the fact that the resource exists on ftp.logos.com makes one hopeful that you can get it to work.
I would attempt a download of the books you need directly into the directory where other lbxlls books reside on your machine. If you try this for jfbcomm.lbxlls, then see if your installation recognized the book and unlocks it with the proper license.
Again, visiting the libronix forum will put you in touch with people who will actually KNOW! :)
I believe that I have found the link for the book which your software was trying to retrieve:
jfbcomm.lbxlls

I have downloaded ResourceAutoUpdate.lbxupd file from here and I have tried with ftp://ftp.logos.com/ and result is the same

That would be because "ResourceAutoUpdate.lbxupd" is not located in ftp://ftp.logos.com. You will have to find another ftp address or another method to download that particular file.
The file that the update process was complaining about according to your screenshot was in that directory. If you know the .lbxlls files which need to be refreshed, then you should be able to download those. I suspect you may still have a problem performing a license synchronization given that your update software appears to be stale.

The AutoUpdate scripts needs a working Libronix installation, but I successfully connected to the ftp server 3 minutes ago from Australia (it may depend on the servers in your region).

Hi, Dave. Perhaps you might try again today – some three years later? I'd love to know if it's a problem for other Australians (or whether the server just discriminates against those of us south of the border ).

Thanks. I'd poked around looking for such an announcement but hadn't found it.

Wish I had known this was going to happen ahead of time. I have hundreds of L3 titles I could have downloaded. When I finally got around to doing so it was too late. This wound will probably never heal...among others.

Bradley Grainger (Faithlife): As far as we know, it has not been possible for a fully-patched Windows installation to contact the Libronix server for at least two years. So, practically speaking, the decommissioning of this server shouldn't really affect anyone.

Seem to remember Windows security certificate update effectively disabled Libronix server connection (after server was patched, older unsupported Libronix 3 client software could no longer negotiate a secure connection)
