Are the Logos Now/Logos 7 system requirements any greater than Logos 6?  Or, could it be even more efficient with system resources?  I'm considering the upgrade, and that's one thing I want to take into account.

L6 and L7 are almost exactly the same under the hood. If you current system is running L6 fine, then it should also be fine with L7

No.

During the lifespan of Logos 7, Faithlife intends (among other things) to improve some of the basic functioning of the desktop program. This may end up including improve efficiency in the use of system resources.

Hi David

The things that have made a difference to me are...

1 Solid State Drive

2 4K Screen - the difference on the eyes has to be seen to believed.

My base logos package is L5 (starter I believe) using the L6 core. Will Logos Now work for me?

Yes. And it will give you the L7 core, too.

With LN, does one download everything to ones' computer (I think something like 20 Gigs) or does one access from ones' computer Logos Now from the website?

Everything - apart from the online services - is downloaded to your computer

By the time I got it downloaded, Logos 10 would be here. Seriously, it's not quite that bad.  :-) Thanks Graham. Have a great weekend!

Hey Mike, I see you are using a 4k display. May I ask what size monitor did you use before your 4k? I am considering monitor upgrade now and am considering a 1440, a 4k or a 5k. Also, are you using the 4k monitor at its native setting? And what size is your 4k? I am currently using a late 2013 MacBook Pro. Any helpful input would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Ron

Hi RPW here are the specks for my Acer K242HQK (which was about the cheapest 4k on the market when I bought it) My late 2013 can only drive it at 1920x1080 but it is still significantly sharper than the similar sized monitor it replaced.
  • 59.9 cm (23.6") 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels)
  • Panel Type: IPS, Wide Viewing Angle, 100% sRGB color gamut
  • Inputs: DisplayPort, HDMI 2.0(MHL support), DVI
  • Support to Picture in Picture(PIP) and Picture by Picture(PBP)
  • Features Acer Flicker-Less and Blue Light Filter technologies
  • Response time: 4 ms

Thanks, loads Mike. Just curious if my late 2013 15" MBP will drive a 27" 4k at 2560 x 1440 and if, at that resolution, it would be sharper than a typical 27" 1440 monitor.

Thanks, again,

Ron
