You have provided a pattern that has been very useful in implementing the following Passage Guide sections:

  • sermons
  • journals
  • personal letters
  • outlines

The genius of this approach is that we as users can add labels to resources that are of critical importance to use so that we are not dependent on the update schedule of your production team.

The following are items that deserve an equivalent treatment:

Yes, I know we can create our own labels but it would be better if Faithlife were to define labels so that the users had a consistent format and could share our labels. Then when Faithlife went to implement a Guide section, the user data would work with it and might provide a base for Faithlife coding. Until that time users could share label files and searches to get some of the same benefits ... and know that their work would not be wasted when Faithlife implements something.

Therefore, my suggestion is that Faithlife predefine labels for current and future use for common needs such as those listed above. They should also provide for user suggested more specialized labels so that users don't keep reinventing the wheel and creating incompatibilities for sharing.

It would be great if this was implemented! I hadn't thought about the questions labelling. That would be another amazing possibility! Especially if they were accessible via mobile for group leaders. I had no idea we could create our own label types. How would I learn how to do this in order to create my own devotional labeling system? Perhaps we could get a standard going between a few ambitious users and collaborate. If we beat them to the punch maybe Logos should adopt our format!...
