In writing a sermon, I found a great quote that began with "the church is famishing."  I copied it to clippings, but forgot to copy the source or original author.

Since I got the quote from my Logos Bible Software, I was certain it would be easy to just search for it.  Unfortunately, none of the three search bars revealed the quote.  I put it in quotations, and searched "everything" to find it.  To no avail.   Yet again, I minimise Logos and revert to Google, who tells me in a fraction of a second that it is AW Tozer.  Google should not be the answer.  I love Logos, not Google.

Can anyone (especially from Logos) address this?

Thanks,

Len

Not a Faithlife employee; only a volunteer with many posts that enjoys using Logos Bible Software.

Apologies since an everything search for:

"the church is famishing"

found five results in my library (all Tozer):

Does search have "Match Case" selected ?

"Match case" has two results in my library while "Match all word forms" has five results.

Clippings should have captured the source automatically if you highlighted the clipping then right clicked to select Clipping. Are you sure that it was from a resource that you own rather than a temporary resource?

Orthodox Bishop Hilarion Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."

Keep Smiling, I've tried with both and can't find it. But thank you- now I know yet another function! I'm giving up on this one as I've found the source.

MJ - Not sure what you mean by a temporary resource, but at this point I'll accept that maybe I got this quote elsewhere.  Can't find Pursuit of God (where the quote comes from) in my library or in my order history.  It seems like it would be a perfect freebie, though.

I'm gonna give up on this one for now, so I can focus on the other Logos issues.  Thanks for your time!

If you have the clipping you copied the quote to, the source and author information will be on the back (click on the small arrow on the bottom right corner of the clipping).
