Crashing - Sermon Editor
Good Afternoon,
All my notes were done in the notes area of Logos. I am now slowly transferring them to the Sermon Editor. However, overtime that I paste the notes into the sermon editor, it crashes logos. The interesting thing is that as soon as I re open Logos, I can paste just fine with no trouble.
I have attached a log file. Not 100% sure I got what you need but let me know if I didn't.
Thanks

PS. If it helps, I am using the Mac version on an iMac.
This has been happening since day one so I am not real sure a version number really matters.

It's fine. Not connected with the problem, but you have some inefficient Collection rules e.g. subject:spiritual growth, subject:spiritual warfare, subject:textual criticism. These should be subject:"spiritual growth", subject:"spiritual warfare", subject:"textual criticism", to ensure that the last word is found within subject and eliminate false results.
Hopefully, a Faithlife tech can assist with the issue.

Robert,
Can you provide a screenshot of the note document where this happens? Also much content had you been pasting before it starts to crash?

Here is a screen shot.
I personally don't think the amount has been the issue. I just copied a message from a Note and put it into Pages. I then copied and pasted it into the sermon editor and it worked just fine.
I then took just a few lines from the same message and pasted it directly into a new sermon editor document. It crashed.
Thanks for the help.

Ahhh...You are correct. Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't paid it enough attention I guess.

Mine started crashing for the first time today. I think I figured it out: I will typically do my sermon outline in Microsoft Word, then paste it into Logos Sermon Editor to make my powerpoint slides. I wish Logos would allow me to do better outlining, but that's another issue.
On one of the points, I had thought I'd possibly remove it, so I had highlighted and marked it with "strikethrough" in Word. Apparently Logos has no clue how to handle that and it just crashes the program.
My guess is that while I'm using Microsoft, and you are using a Mac, it's likely that for whatever reason the Sermon Editor can't handle some text that you put in your notes and it dumps.

Thanks for this update, I was able to reproduce this crash.

Hi Robert,
I'm still not able to reproduce your issue. I'm wondering if it's a specific formatting issue with your document. Can you email me your Word document at testing[at]faithlife dot com? This will help in getting this narrowed down.

This has been fixed in 7.7.
