Morphology Charts not working

Since I previously owned Logos 6 Platinum and was content with my library, I decided to just purchase the Logos 7 Full Feature Set, which I did a couple weeks ago.

Today I tried to use Morphology Charts but encountered some problems. In a Logos training video it shows Morphology Charts can be accessed by Tools>Interactive Media>Morphology Charts. Morphology Charts does not show up under Interactive Media on my PC.

I was able to open a Morphology Chart by selecting a lemma, clicking on Bible Word Study then on Morphology Charts under Lemma. However, the Morphology Chart is blank.

I tried typing in other Greek words with the same results. I've run Update Now in Logos and everything is current. I am running Windows 10.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Terry

Has this ever worked since you acquired the Logos 7 full feature set?

I've run Update Now in Logos

    Have you tried "update resources"?

This is the first time I've tried it. I have run "Update Now." I can't find "update resources."

    Terry,

I would recommend contacting Customer Service they can take a look at your account. You can reach them at 800-875-6467.

I tried that once, but after being on hold for a while, my call was dropped. I'll give it another try and post what happens.

    Thanks

I got in contact with Logos customer support. The agent walked me through a couple of things without success. We talked and she suggest some things I could try on my own. If they didn't work, I could call back and get a referral to tech support. I tried the things without success and called back. I was given a case number and connected to tech support.

I talked to a tech rep who remotely connected to my computer, verified the problem, and was unable to fix it. He checked the Logos logs but there wasn't anything in them. He said he could see Morphology Charts was trying to run because a working wheel showed for just an instant before the blank results page showed. He said that sometimes this could be caused by a graphics/video card issue. I told him I would take a look at that and would also do a complete uninstall and reinstall of Logos. That day he emailed me with instructions for clearing the WPF font cache which he claimed could cause problem.

I cleared the WPF font cache as suggested with no change in morph charts. I then removed my NVIDIA video card from my PC reverting to the Intel video on the motherboard. Again there was no change. I reinstalled the NVIDIA card then did a complete uninstall of Logos including the manual deletion of all Logos folder remnants in AppData and running CCleaner to clean the Window's registry. I then reinstalled Logos. Morphology Charts still would not run. However, I did find error messages in the Logos log files related to morphology charts. On 5/4/2017 I emailed these log files to Logos customer support with the case number in the subject field.

It is now over a month since I emailed the log files to Logos. As far as I am concerned the case file is still open, but I have not heard anything from Logos. Since one of my main reasons for upgrading to the Logos Full Feature Set was to get morphology charts, I haven't realized much return on my investment. I am also a bit disappointed with Logos. If they assign a case number, they should fix the problem or, if they can't fix it, have the courtesy to let the customer know what is going on.

Did technical support address why you could not access Morphology Charts from the menus?  When I select Tools then Morphology Charts does not show up under Interactive Media.  I have to select "All interactive resources".  This opens a new tab with a long list of resources.  For me, Morphology Charts is in this list in alphabetical order.  For you, Morphology Charts are not on this list at all?

Logos tech support, you may what to take notice of this...

David, I got your response and something interesting happened.

I originally intended to tell you that I can access Morphology Charts through the menus and it shows up in a new tab, but the problem was that when I entered a lemma, a spinning wheel, showing it was working, appeared for just an instant (blink and you miss it) and I was left with a blank results page. I just opened Logos to make a screen capture of the Morphology Chart tab showing a lemma with no results. To my surprise it worked! I only took me a moment to determine what had changed and why it was now working.

I had recently upgraded my Logos 6 package to include the Logos 7 full-feature set. I did this primarily because I wanted Morphology Charts. When they didn't work, I made my original post asking for help and my adventure with tech support began. Another reason I upgraded was for the Clause Search feature, but I hadn't tried it until a couple days ago. When I did, the only resource that was searchable was Swete's LXX (nothing for Hebrew OT or Greek NT). I posted a request for help and quickly got a reply saying clause searches could only be done in Bible texts that Logos had certain rights to. The texts are, at least so far, Swete's LXX, the Lexham Hebrew Bible, and the Society of Biblical Literature (SBL) Greek NT. Checking my library revealed that LHB and SBLGNT had been hidden for some reason. After unhiding the two, Clause Search worked.

Apparently, Morph Charts requires LHB and SBLGNT also. So, everything appears to be working.

I have both LHB and SBLGNT, and my morphology for Greek has never worked. Only the Hebrew morphology works.

    Any thoughts?
