When i make a note in my favorite bible, it does not show up in my other bibles. What am I doing wrong?
Michael,
You can either attach a note to a reference or you depending upon the Bibles you can turn on Corresponding Notes & Highlights. You can find out more by looking at this video (https://www.logos.com/logos-pro/corresponding-notes-and-highlights). You can also find out more about how notes work by looking at the Help File. This link (https://ref.ly/logosres/logos4help;hw=Notes_Document;off=258) should take you to the correct location.
For clarification:
Notes can be attached to a selection, or to a reference. When a note is attached to a "selection," that note is tied to the specific selection... including resource. If you wanted to make a note on a selection (i.e. "look at this funny typo," "wow, I wonder why the translators chose this word over that one?"), you would not expect it to appear in other resources. Highlights, by the way, are always notes of "selection."
If you attach a note to a reference, however, you would expect the note to appear in all versified resources (bibles, commentaries, etc.).
If your note isn't appearing in other resources, there are two primary causes:
Philianas presents another option, which is to turn on the "corresponding notes" filter, also found in the resource's visual filter menu.
Your 2nd highlighted reference to a specific Help File only takes me to a Buy Logos page. Can you make it go to the Help File, please. Thank you.
Can you make it go to the Help File, please.
It does! If it is not working for you, something must be wrong on your end.
Alternatively, you can open the Help File and type Notes Document into the reference box.
