January's code: NOWFREEBOOKJAN18
This month I also picked up:
Phillip Schaff's book on the Didache. (https://www.logos.com/product/29195/the-teaching-of-the-twelve-apostles-or-the-oldest-church-manual-the-didache-and-kindred-documents).
Next month I going to start collecting Schaff's books that are common in base packages, such as his works on the Church Fathers.
Happy New Year. Liam

Good strategy Liam. Unfortunately, I don't always pay close attention. I didn't realize that LN members got a free book every month so I only got free books for the months of Nov and Dec. I picked up Alford's Sermons on Christian Doctrine this month. I already have Schaff's works.
Thank you Faithlife for the free resources.

I slowly worked the G. K. Chesterton Collection by picking up one at a time each month... I just picked up the last one! On to a new challenge next month.

I got the below and will work my way through this series.
The Heroes and Crises of Early Hebrew History

I am working my way through the J.C. Ryle books: https://www.logos.com/products/search?Product+Type=Free+titles+for+Now+members&sort=pricehi&pageSize=60&Author=6946%7cJ.+C.+Ryle
There are 11 on the Logos Now list, and 18 in his collection, so maybe I'll buy the rest of the collection when I'm done.

I went to hear Walt Kaiser speak on Ezekiel at The Cover in Asheville, NC in 2016 and have been planning to do a study through the book. Starting this year so I picked up this commentary:

Dr. Kevin Purcell, Director of Missions
Brushy Mountain Baptist Association0 -
I'm now trying to complete the George Müller collection, so I got the Autobiography of George Müller. Not all the books are eligible as free LN books but dynamic pricing will help me pick up the others at a significant discount.

I grabbed The Works of the Rev. Isaac Watts, D. D. in Nine Volumes, vol. 9 this month. Was recommended it in one of my seminary classes.

Hopefully they didn't make any intentional changes. They probably just didn't set up the code yet or accidentally messed it up. The start of Bellingham's work day is still quite a few hours away, so I'd wait for a bit.

I understand the coupon code to look like the FL Connect one (there was a post from Faithlife that only in February both codes from LNow and FLC worked), so I went about like Alabama explained here and - since the website still shows the February code at this early hour on March 1 - "guessed" the FLC Classic eBook coupon for March: it worked.

I did the same, I picked a title about C.S. Lewis, and another by G. Campbell Morgan.NB.Mick said:Beloved said:Coupon code not working yet, wondering if there will be changes.

In the past, I could add &unlocked=no to the Logos URL and would only see those resources that I don't have. However, this does not seem to work anymore at the ebooks.faithlife.com website. Or has somebody worked this out?

it never worked on the ebooks.faithlife.com website. Unfortunately Faithlife choose to open this shop with very limited search capability - they promised to work on that. In the meantime, you can try to sort the shop, have 60 entries displayed and then scroll through. We're fortunate they show the buy-buttons in grey (I seem to remember not even this worked when the Verbum site went public for the first time).

I'm slowly building up the Works of John Owen.
Hoping I complete the set before November, but I think I'll be one volume short!

Thanks. In case you missed it: it seems, FL decided to give another month with two free books, so the coupon code for March according to the LNow pattern does work, too!

I just completed J D Jones collection. Now only 37 titles on the list for me to choose from and that reduces down to 21 resources specifically categorised as English language. Only collection left I could tackle is the 6 volume Lincoln collection. Not sure if this would make it into a base package library so might go for a few of the other one off titles left for next little while.

Well folks,
It has been a while but now that the LN v FLC dust has settled and we've all enjoyed a few months of free books courtesy of FLC, I thought I'd resurrect this thread and share my recent additions.
Faithlife Originals (Some highlights):
- The Other Worldview - Peter Jones (https://www.logos.com/product/49585/the-other-worldview-exposing-christianitys-greatest-threat)
- The Glory of God - Philippe Viguier (https://www.logos.com/product/35463/the-glory-of-god-a-biblical-theology)
I realise the list of original's changes each month, but sharing suggestions gives folk something to keep an eye out for in future selections.
From the Classic Section, I'm working my way through Schaff's Early Church Fathers Collection (https://www.logos.com/product/5771/early-church-fathers-protestant-edition.

I've just finished collecting John Owen's series on Hebrews, and now grabbed vol 10 of his other writings.
I may move onto starting a new series next month.

Great work, David! That is some serious dedication to a cause. What are they like, would you recommend the collection to others?
As before I thought I'd share the coupon codes here again. Since they are tired to our FLC accounts it shouldn't be a breach of forum rules in any technical sense... Happy to be corrected by an FL staffer though.

Yeah, it would appear that there are only ten to choose from this month. It may be that FL takes a slice of titles on a rolling rotation. If that is so then it may simply be that we are at the end of the rotation. Of course, there could be other reasons too.

fair point, but these codes only work if you are a subscriber to Connect. So for these alone, it shouldn't matter.

Hi James.
Thanks for your concerns and for you helpful reminder about the forum guidelines. FWIW, I've been posting the coupon codes (which I, also, believe, are useless if you are not an FLC subscriber) since September 2017, so far no one from Faithlife has said anything about it.
Happy to be corrected though. :-)

What are you using to browse the free Original titles? When I click on the Faithflife connect link it shows I think about 20 books. The one you picked this month about lies pastors believe wasnt an option for me

Just entered the code for October originals and the code was accepted but the purchase price was not adjusted. Has anyone else had a problem this month?. I did check my account and my subscription is still in force.
0 -
Hello,
Sure thing. A couple of questions. When you say that you redeemed your code and the price was not adjusted, are you saying you were charged? Also which title of the 10 available options did you select?
Thank you,
Connect Team
0 -
The code was accepted as valid but the price was not adjusted to $0.00 Since the price was not adjusted I did not go to the next screen to purchase. The book was Rethinking David and Goliath
0 -
How can I tell which Originals are eligible for the free code and which are not?
0 -
Might be the problem but I am using the link from Faithlife Connect which produces a list of 20 books starting with High Definition Romans by Runge. The search results shows Faithlife Ebook Originals. Is there another link I should be using?
0 -
Hi Dan,
We are working on simplifying this even more in the very near future. In the meantime, here is the link that you should be using when selecting from your Originals. https://ebooks.faithlife.com/originals
Thanks,

I went to the Faithlife connect page https://connect.faithlife.com/ebook
and clicked on browse available titles. I think this is the same list that Tony referred to. I guess this is the wrong list. I have to search for the link every month and it would be great if it was easier to find. Thanks so much
