in Mike Ward's book, he mentions that "all my highlights are saved automatically to a clipping file". is anyone aware of how this is performed?

i don't think Mike s using the word "clippings" in its technical sense (he's not referring to a Cilppings Document)

From what he says he is using resource-specific highlighting which results in all the highlights he makes in a particular resource ending up in a Notes Document with the same as a resource - and he can look through that Document to see all the highlights he has made in the resource
