Logos Now update:
- Daily Audio Bible Video Collection: 39 new videos and 20 updated videos.
- To access the videos, open the Media Tool and select "Daily Audio Bible Video Collection" under "Media Collection".
- You can also search for people, places, things, events, and even verse references to find videos from this collection (e.g., a media search for "Chorazin" will include the Daily Audio Bible video "Chorazin" in the results.

I have Logos Now and Logos 7 on Windows 10. I cannot get Daily Audio Bible videos to play. Using the Media Tool and searching for "Chorazin" I can locate the Chorazin video. Clicking on it takes me to the Soundfaith.com website, where I see the Chorazin video with a play button, but it does not play. Should I be able to view the video within the Logos program?
Edit: I now get the video playing fine on Soundfaith.com. Maybe I had to be patient and wait for it to start.

I am able to play the Chorazin video on Soundfaith, but it is subject to many pauses, making it almost useless. Perhaps it is my Internet connection, but I wonder if there is a better way to stream these?

Opening and playing the video in the Soundfaith website is intentional. These are videos that stream over the web, not videos local to your computer, and in the Faithlife ecosystem the Soundfaith site is the logical place to play them for users invoking them from the media tool in Logos Bible Software.
Glad to hear the video is now playing acceptably.
Edit: Consider this the followup to the "we'll look into it" comment above. Playing on Soundfaith is intentional, and (as with any video on the web) sometimes there are playback issues.

That is all fine, but the videos do not play on that site. There is a playbutton but nothing happens when it is pressed.

EDIT: after 59 seconds the videos do start to play, and that's with a tested download speed of 20.8 mbps
Not exactly an ideal lag time

Based on your comment, I started digging further. I'll update this thread when more is known.

We've been complaining about video lag on Soundfaith (and it's predecessors) for years. It's always been hopeless, because it can't adjust video quality to accommodate different speeds. If you're going to continue use your own hardware to stream video, Faithlife needs to invest in decent streaming engine (Wowza, perhaps?, or even Smooth Streaming). The existing server seems to be just a standard https server.

Hi Mark.
I've followed up, and while this isn't my area and I may get some details wrong, SoundFaith is already in the process of migrating to use the same player used by Faithlife TV, which should (they tell me) alleviate these persistent, historical issues.
I don't have a specific timeline for this, but I'm led to believe it is weeks not months.

That's excellent news. The Faithlife TV stream works well.
There may be one downside, however. Faithlife TV doesn't allow you do download the videos, whereas SoundFaith does. Being able to download videos is important for presentations, etc., and it would be disappointing if that ability was removed.

Why can't we move this videos into the logos ecosystem where we can download them and don't have to worry about streaming?

I think because the sheer volume of them makes it easier for Logos to provide them by a webservice than in a traditional resource that needs to be maintained and updated.
Also because they want us to be able to share at least some of them, and therefore need them on the web for that.
And finally, because they'll need to be part of the web for the web app, and if they're ever to be ported to mobile use.
So a choice to do only Logos ecosystem is not really viable, and to do Logos and web would increase costs and development time which could be spent on something else.
That said, I don't see why a Chrome window can't pop up inside Logos, instead of being booted to my browser. That surely would be straightforward.

Every video that I attempt to play says, "this video cannot be displayed". Pretty much useless at this point. And there needs to be a way to import those video's and the video's from faith life TV into Proclaim.

Playback of these videos should now be significantly improved.
There may still be an initial buffering delay where the video appears to be frozen when you first click the play button. We have plans for more improvements, but at the very least they should work now.

It appears your concern was rightly expressed. I am trying to download
https://soundfaith.com/logos-media/732163-5039878-- for use in a Sunday School lesson. I try to right-click (in Windows) and I can copy a jpeg of the opening screen, but can't copy/download the mp4. Any suggested workarounds?
