Can anyone give an example of what the Sort button in Notes does now - "Sort Notes by reference"?
Thanks!
Yes, it places the notes in canonical order. Many of us found that the notes were not being placed in canonical order in the note file, particularly if we created notes in more than one translation of the Bible. I can no longer reproduce that bug (notes being created in non-canonical order) so maybe this sort feature will not be needed except to clean up old note files.
I created a Note, and used Add note to insert several Bible references, one referencein each Note. I was sure to put them in random canonical order. When I clicked it did not do anything. Can you give an example of what it sorts?
I like "We remember, we celebrate, we believe...." !!!
In playing with this in order to provide a screen shot, I discovered that the sort function only works for those references that been added as a bible reference.
In the first screen shot I manually entered these verse references in the title of each note. The sort feature will not sort them, even though the system recognizes them as a hyperlink to that passage.
In the second screen shot I added each note as a reference by right clicking on each verse in the bible I had open. It inserts each note in proper order. If I move them around manually and them sort them it puts them back in proper order.
Fred I found another consequence and created a BUG: thread at http://community.logos.com/forums/t/14933.aspx
