I have several saved layouts in Logos.   I have been using them in build 16.  But when I try to open them in build 17, the program just closes.

JimSuttle:

Could you post logs of the occurance and your layouts.db file? Instructions for how to take and post logs are in my signature, and the layouts.db file is in: /Users/UserFolder/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Docments/UniqueFolder.xxx/LayoutsManager/

Yes, those are good to post. We need logs though as well. Did you go through the instructions here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6731.aspx

How is this?  I tried the same thing again today, and again selecting my saved layouts closes the Logos Program

Jim:

Thank you for the logs. Do all of the layouts crash or a particular one? The best thing to do probably is delete the layouts.db file and start anew.

I deleted my layouts and started to recreate them.

One of the layouts I have has a Bible and about 10-12 commentaries or Bible Dictionaries open - all of which are more overview of a whole chapter than detailed commentaries.

As I opened the commentaries, when I got about seven of them opened and was adding another, it crashed Logos.  I am wondering if that is the problem, it is not handling that many widows with different commentaries being open.

Jim:

Dev is saying there is no crash in the logs you posted. I attempted the layout file you posted and it seemed to work fine for me. I'm going to repost it, could you place it back and tell me if you are still getting the issue? If so Post the logs of the crash right after the crash, if you open Logos4 again the logs will be cannibalized by the new instance of the application running since it is always logging. 8304.layouts.db

Console messages includes couple crashes:

Tom Philpot, Logos Developer, noted in forum http://community.logos.com/forums/p/15499/119411.aspx Unhandled Exception should be fixed in A18. Anticipating A18 release in 2 to 4 days - looking forward to improvements. Keep Smiling Smile
