This has got to be one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. I hate this program so far. I cannot get it to do anything I want it to do, can't find anything. AAARGHH.
What version are you using?
The current version is A 17
John, welcome to the forum.
Do you realize that L4 Mac is Alpha software? That means that it is feature incomplete, unstable, and never boring. The up side of all this means that we are in on the development of a truly useful piece of software.
See the first link in my signature if you have not already read the FAQ.
Hi John, if you would like some help, please feel free to ask a specific question and someone will be more than happy to take time and give some guidance on how to use Logos for Mac.
Blessings
Hi John: Give us some more specifics, someone is bound to be able to help you. I've been using Logos for Mac alpha and the parts that are functioning seem to work pretty well for me. Since it's an Alpha version, it is not fully functional and there are bugs to work out.
Good Morning Joe, I am going to take you up on your offer for help.
I have been using Logos 4 since it's release and I am unable to find a book I have purchased. Logos support has walked me thru the "üpdate now" command but that doesn't bring it in. It simply tries to load and hangs on preparing the library. I am assuming it is trying to load the purchase. Sometimes it simply crashes and shuts down.
As well, I have no idea what alpha version is running, I assumed once the program was installed the updates to the program were automatic, so if you oculd walk me through "how to" check and install for the updates I would appreciate that.
Thanks.
Jeanne
Hi Jeanne
I am not Joe but I will take a guess at his first question...
When you open Logos 4 at the very top of the window there is a clue as to which Alpha you are using.
Please tell us.

Thank you Mike, it says Pre-Release Alpha 16. And it has finally loaded but still does not show the book I've purchased.

There is a post with an image depicting where to look for the version about 6 posts up by MichaelKares
The first thing to do is to move on to the latest version - Alpha 17.
It probably will not update automatically so go to the post at the top (but one) of the forum and get the link from the Alpha 17 release notes.
The link is the first thing you will see.
I think this was a drive by post! [H]
Thanks to all who helped me move on to Alpha 17. I am loving the program and sorry to take your time in answering questions that have already been addressed, but appreciate your willingness to help.
I have successfully updated Alpha 17 and with that the purchased books have made their way into my library.
