I have Logos 4 on my iMac and MacBook, the alpha 17 has downloaded on my MacBook but not my iMac...has anyone else experienced this problem with L4 A17 not downloading?

Alan:

If your previous version of the Alpha was 16 rather than 16A this may be an issue. Another user had a similar issue. The solution is the same, click the link here to update.

I had 16a but 17 still would not download automatically. The automatic download feature has been, at best, erratic throughout the development process. That makes it really important for Logos to prominently post the download link every time.

The link is usually in the release notes and it is already the "Read This First.." post... both are pinned to the top of the forum.

For A17, automatic download to upgrade A16a worked fine on couple iMac computers.

For grins, did check FAQ # 7 download of A17 - used to reinstall to verify crash behavior.

It is not in the release notes this time and I do not see "Read this first" at the top of the forum or anywhere else.

Hey Everyone:

The direct link to the download was not on Dave's release notes initially. It is now, and there is also a link to the release notes from the "Read this first" post by Cameron.

Thanks Mike. I am not new to L4 or to Logos (started in the mid-1990's) and I was one of those invited to alpha test L4 for mac before Logos decided to go wiht a public alpha. Burying the link in item 7 of a mis-labeled post is not prominently posting the link.

I am glad to see that the link is now with the release notes.
