Library Back button (or keyboard equivalent)

I cannot see a back button in the library panel ... is there a keyboard equivalent.

I am tagging resources ... trying to bring order into my counseling resources ... and keep clicking on existing tags accidentally. This then seems to replace my carefully crafted library filter with a basic mytag: filter ... Sad

I am sure that there is a reason for this functionality ... I would prefer that it adds to my filter rather than replaces it ... but my key point is having replaced my filter ... how do I get my filter back? cmd-Z does not seem to return my filter ... I do not know if undo has undone my most recent tag edit ... I cannot see my resources because my filter changed (did I mention that bit! Stick out tongue)

It is probably really obvious ...

Thanks.

I too have had this happen many times and have not figured out a work-a-round other than copying the filter on the clipboard and pasting it in back in when needed. I too would love to know if there was a better way.

BTW. The reason for the frequent mistaken clicks is that awful (IMHO) yellow bar in the library that keeps moving the entire display up and down without warning.

My main issue would be bypassed if anybody knows of a way to disable that. I really cannot see the point of this in the UI ... it should be an icon next to the layouts menu, similar to the sync status icon. This same functionality is also responsible for many truncated tags since it also interrupts tag editing ... and often moves the selected resource list of the screen ... etc. etc. Is there a way to stop the library updating until I click a refresh button?

They really like big, large, really obvious, hard to miss, don't forget, bars. Same on the app, the black bar of death.

And your thread seems so obvious. It's why I feel like there can't be more than Rick using Logos at Bellingham HQ. Else at lunchtime, the designer would need to hide out for sure.

I like the part where each change, they re-sort the library and you loose your place. Argh!  I think they plan for a library with 5 books.

If happen to be typing in a title, library refresh can automatically revert title typing too.

Thankful can tag resources plus modify titles. Personally like adding year, series, author prefixes to many resources.

I hope they redesign this poor user experience. It's frustrating clicking on the wrong thing because the row position (or content) suddenly changed.

Thanks to FL for including Carta and a Hebrew audio bible in Logos 9!

This is a bug. The yellow bar is not supposed to be displayed as a result of manual changes to the resource metadata. I've created a case to get this fixed.

I love how you describe this, Denise.

Hadn't thought about this one. I wonder, really, how many employees use the software on their own time, in a manner like an average user would use it.

I have simply accepted the slow pace of working with my libary (spelling intentional for vernacular effect). But these suggested changes would sure be nice.

Better yet.  Why when using the logo for library I type for ex.  Jonah in the text  I get the black bar of death indefinitely searching for Books dealing with Jonah.  Yes my library of 12000 plus books is indexed and I even did the update now, and reindex and waited forever to index my library new.  After doing so I still got the black bar of death, or greyed out bar and nothing can be done with my library....  frustrating to say the least.  Yes, I closed the app and reopened and I still got the same.

Just to confirm: it appears everytime when I change e.g. the mytag: on a resource.
