I can see why the search results would be doubled in the ESV but why in the NA27?

I did a search in the NA27 and the results were doubled.
I changed the reference to the LEB and the results were back to one per result.
Why would I get doubled results in the NA27? It's not interlinear.

As you know this is an ANDEQUALS operation when translated to Bible Search:-
(([field bible] <lemma = lbs/el/ἀγαπάω>) ANDEQUALS ([field bible] <lbs-morph+el ~ V???2???>))
For a long time a match was counted as 2 results - 1 for the lemma and 1 for the morph term, which is very confusing when the surface text is only 1 word! I think NOTEQUALS was also regarded the same way.
The interpretation has to be consistent so I would regard the Greek bible results as a bug.

But not yet fixed in the latest version?
This is still being reviewed. I'll add a link to your post to the open case.

I am not a regular user of Logos, but I have been recommending Logos to my Greek and Hebrew students. When they began giving me incorrect answers for some basic searches I was asking them to do, I investigated the issue for them.
Am I given to understand that this issue has been around for 16 months WITHOUT an update by Logos to address the bug?! And is this indicative of how quickly Logos responds to bugs in their system? If so, I do not plan on recommending Logos to my students anymore. Simple Greek searches should not yield incorrect results.

Wow, it seemed like old times, with Melissa back! (Not that our present forum helper is just the best too!)
And an interesting question as well.

Yes and No; as a Logos user have noticed some bugs languishing for many months while others have been fixed much sooner. Logos is hiring programmers (and more) => http://www.logos.com/about/careers (positions have been open for long time)
Option: Morph Search analysis offers a workaround (count by usage for a lemma):
