I wanted to create a link to a dictionary headword. (I.e. linking to the resource prioritized the highest rather than to a specific resource.) How is this done? The wiki has some info on linking, but comes short when it comes to more advanced stuff.
You can create resource-independent links to entities that have a datatype, but you can't do that for Headwords. So for Greek Strong's numbers you can use logosref:GreekStrongs.104 internal to Logos to link to G104 in your preferred Strong's Lexicon.
https://ref.ly/logosref/GreekStrongs.104 is more universal, though.
You can do it for headwords:
https://ref.ly/logosref/English.Love
https://ref.ly/logosref/Greek.ἀγάπη
It's possible that not everything will like the url with the original language characters in it, so it may need to be converted to url-safe characters in order to work right:
https://ref.ly/logosref/Greek.%E1%BC%80%CE%B3%CE%AC%CF%80%CE%B7 or https://ref.ly/logosref/Greek.$E1$BC$80$CE$B3$CE$AC$CF$80$CE$B7
This mechanism doesn't appear to work with the web application, but it will forward to the desktop application and work correctly there.
You can do it for headwords: https://ref.ly/logosref/English.Love https://ref.ly/logosref/Greek.ἀγάπη
Must be recent, but welcome.
logosref:English.love works internally.
Is this in the wiki somewhere?
Thank you all for your replies. I get it to work, but I also found out it didn't do what I set out to do. Originally I wanted to attach a note to several different headwords so that I could see that I had written a note on the subject even though the exact wording was different (e.g. sex and sexuality). Currently notes can be attached to headwords by right clicking, choosing headword and then "Add a note to..."
I thought a link/url would could be inserted when you choose edit attachment points, but this does not seem to be the case. Presently you can insert link to articles within specific resources.
Is there any way this can be done?
Now it is. Thanks Dave!
Thankful for Dave Hooton adding headword examples in this thread to Hyperlinks plus added Hebrew (from Septuagint Translation for ἀγάπη)
logosref:Hebrew.אַהֲבָה 1
Added "The Anatomy of a Link includes Bible and Headword examples" to Resource links section of Personal Books
Keep Smiling [:)]
Added examples using ref.ly & URL-safe characters for lemmas to avoid referring to this thread.
Thank you all for this! This would have been so helpful to me!
I still haven't been able to do what I hoped to do and would be grateful if anyone could help!

In most resources, including monographs, you can select some text or a heading and then click "Attach to current selection". The resulting link may indicate only the resource's short title but it is a specific link to the article! That way, even if the link shown is a bible reference it will be resource-specific.
(Have your note file and resource open in different tiles).

Thanks Dave, I am aware of this feature, and it is great :-) I may not have been clear enough on what I wanted to achieve. What I want to do is create an attachment that is not resource specific so that I can see my note regardless of which resource I open.

Currently no for headword link insertion. Work around is highlighting headword in resource followed by editing attachment point so can "Attach to current selection"
Created two bug threads (for current Notes and Beta Notes using Web App):
Bug 7.14 Beta 2 Note Attachment
