Can someone tell me how to find free books for Logos4? Someone is just starting to use it and I want him to get a feel as to what the software is like.

I am asking for a listing of links.

Thanks.

Surprisingly, it's taking a long time just to index for the Alphabet of Animals! Hmm

  30. LEB English-Greek Reverse Interlinear

But my question is, does the user able to use it in Logos4? And I guess it is a "yes". Please tell me if you know it. If it does, then ask your friend who has an iPhone/iPad to do you a favor, and you can enjoy it in Logos4.

If you own an ESV Bible, you can download a free package of Crossway books at http://www.gnpcb.org/freecd/ .  This includes commentaries and other reference materials.

Are these Libronix/Logos books or some other format?

I installed these years ago (5+) and at that time they were Libronix documents.

I just put these resources into my Resource folder.  But in my Libronix it shows the files as LOCKED.  How do I unlock them?  (I'm using a Mac, if that matters.)

On the download page it mentions that it is only available for Windows. Sad

While the install and software are Windows only, the resources should work on the Mac. I would try to unlock the resources by placing them in the resources of the first Mac version. If that is unable to unlock them, I would call customer service for instructions.

They are in fact Libronix/Logos books.  I installed them a few months ago in L3, and they downloaded into L4.  I am pretty sure that you must first install them in Windows L3 before L4 will pick them up.

Did they install in L4 automatically?  I picked them up in L3 and ran "Update now" and "Update resources" in L4, but they didn't load.

Got 'em.  I had to first update L3, then restart L4 and they began downloading.

I did so a few months ago (December) but I don't think I see any resources other than an ESV version. What commentaries and other reference materials do you know exactly that it included? And it is for a trial period or complete free (shareware or freeware)? (oh, I think I have the KJV too).

I don't know that since I upgrade to Logos4 a few weeks after that. And I think that Logos has a good strategy. Because of the trial version, I know that Libronix 3 is great, and I was attracted by the key word function in particular. And then I gradually know Logos4 more and more and finally I bought it. If it is not the ESV reverse interlinear Bible, I won't meet Logos 4 and I won't enjoy from this great software, the best Bible Study Software on the Earth. (Sorry that I end up at praising Logos).

You can borrow a PC to install and update it with your account, and then update it in Mac.

When I look at the file I have, I realized that these titles are included:

3ejames
bdba
CWCCGAL
CWEXPLNT
CWEXPLOT
ESV
KJV
MELTHOFONTS
mhenryc
NEWNAVES
prwdrmns
STRONGS

And for most of them, the title can be known immediately from the file name, while some don't.

By the way, for most of them, you can see it by adding http://www.logos.com/ebooks/details/ before it. e.g. http://www.logos.com/ebooks/details/CWEXPLNT
