Can someone tell me how to find free books for Logos4? Someone is just starting to use it and I want him to get a feel as to what the software is like.
I am asking for a listing of links.
Thanks.

other people may know of more ??
Awesome! Just got the Scripture Alphabet of Animals added!
It even has some nice artwork [:)]
Surprisingly, it's taking a long time just to index for the Alphabet of Animals! [^o)]
Thanks everyone. Did not know about the "Gospel Coalition". Will pass on the lists. Keep them coming.

Of course I should have mentioned this:

If you own an ESV Bible, you can download a free package of Crossway books at http://www.gnpcb.org/freecd/ . This includes commentaries and other reference materials.
Are these Libronix/Logos books or some other format?

I installed these years ago (5+) and at that time they were Libronix documents.
I just put these resources into my Resource folder. But in my Libronix it shows the files as LOCKED. How do I unlock them? (I'm using a Mac, if that matters.)
(I'm using a Mac, if that matters.)
On the download page it mentions that it is only available for Windows. [:(]
On the download page it mentions that it is only available for Windows.
While the install and software are Windows only, the resources should work on the Mac. I would try to unlock the resources by placing them in the resources of the first Mac version. If that is unable to unlock them, I would call customer service for instructions.
They are in fact Libronix/Logos books. I installed them a few months ago in L3, and they downloaded into L4. I am pretty sure that you must first install them in Windows L3 before L4 will pick them up.
I installed them a few months ago in L3, and they downloaded into L4.
Did they install in L4 automatically? I picked them up in L3 and ran "Update now" and "Update resources" in L4, but they didn't load.
Got 'em. I had to first update L3, then restart L4 and they began downloading.
I did so a few months ago (December) but I don't think I see any resources other than an ESV version. What commentaries and other reference materials do you know exactly that it included? And it is for a trial period or complete free (shareware or freeware)? (oh, I think I have the KJV too).
I don't know that since I upgrade to Logos4 a few weeks after that. And I think that Logos has a good strategy. Because of the trial version, I know that Libronix 3 is great, and I was attracted by the key word function in particular. And then I gradually know Logos4 more and more and finally I bought it. If it is not the ESV reverse interlinear Bible, I won't meet Logos 4 and I won't enjoy from this great software, the best Bible Study Software on the Earth. (Sorry that I end up at praising Logos).
This includes commentaries and other reference materials.
When I look at the file I have, I realized that these titles are included:
3ejamesbdbaCWCCGALCWEXPLNTCWEXPLOTESVKJVMELTHOFONTSmhenrycNEWNAVESprwdrmnsSTRONGS
And for most of them, the title can be known immediately from the file name, while some don't.
By the way, for most of them, you can see it by adding http://www.logos.com/ebooks/details/ before it. e.g. http://www.logos.com/ebooks/details/CWEXPLNT
One more free book:
the Minor Prophets by Hampton Keathley IV
Two that I did not have were CWCCGAL The Crossway Classic Commentary on Galatians (by Martin Luther), and PRWDRMNS Preaching the Word : Romans - Righteousness from Heaven.
Others include CWEXPLOT Crossway : Exploring the Old Testament, and CWEXPLNT Crossway : Exploring the New Testament
NEWNAVES New Nave's Topical BibleMHENRYC Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary on the Bible
I installed these into L3, but they are locked.
To install, I copied the resource files into my existing installation of L3, rather than running the setup that came with it, should that have made any difference?
should that have made any difference?
There is a nice summary on all known free resources of Logos here:

chinese bible free, where can i found?
No free one in Logos, but you can find free Chinese Bible here: http://www.biblica.com/bibles/chinese/. There is an older translation of the whole Bible (Old Testament and New Testament) and a more recent translation of the New Testament only.
Logos has two Chinese Bibles (USD $19.95 each):

http://www.logos.com/ebooks/details/ZH-CUNPTRD (Shangti Edition)
Thanks very much!

By the way, I found out that the 30 free titles in http://www.logos.com/iphone/support works on library.logos.com too. So, after you sign up for an account, there are 60 free resources there, including the 30 in the list and some other Bible translations.
library.logos.com is actually a great site. If you run it on Windows, it looks very like the existing Logos4. So, it might be the best way to present your friend a demo on Logos4.

Isent an email to Crossway from the link above, asking if my Logos ESVqualified me to download free stuff. I got an answer back saying thatthis offer is only for purchasers of hardcopy ESV Bibles. The repsaid the download is basically Logos format -- the ESV Bible and someother resources. She said I may already have the bulk of the freedownload and therefore don't need to worry about downloading from thesite.

Thank you for the clarification. I should have written "hard copy" ESV Bible, instead of just ESV Bible. I knew that a paper copy was required for the download, but failed to make that explicit.

This may or may not be true. I do not know what your library looks like, but I picked up a few good volumes with this download (like Preaching the Word--Romans), even with a fairly good size library. Go to http://wiki.logos.com/Free_Logos_Books_(Demo_Version) for a list of included resources (scroll down to the Crossway section). If I had not already owned a paper ESV, I would considered purchasing one to download this collection.
Please go to this site: http://www.crossway.org/catalog/bibles to see that actually not all printed ESV Bible has the free Libronix demo offered.
The cheapest one is Compact TruGrip Bibles, which costs 15.59 in Amazon.com.
See if you have all of these:
sorry that I use a testing account to reply. It is me.

Thanks, Ben. I've added that to the Free Books page on the wiki.
Thank you for pointing this out. I updated the Wiki to reflect this reality.
Yes, but the NET notes are easily worth 20 bucks.

You are right, the NET notes are extremely helpful and definitely worth $20. However, I am still glad that the note free NET is offered for free. Free access to quality Bible translations is always a good thing.
Seems like the Wiki page has been deleted.
Nope. It's just been renamed. It is linked in from the home page if you ever are looking for it again.
