I would love to see the ability to open two pages on one screen. As in if I am reading page 232 in a book I can see both 232 and 233 right next to it. I believe a lot of e-readers have this format. I really enjoy it because it makes it feel a lot more like a real book.
I also get overwhelmed trying to read all the way across my screen and then come back and figure out how far down I am.
