"Grid" display works for me, but neither "Verses" nor "Aligned". All of the above work for ESV.
Thanks for the hard work.

John,
I think that what you're describing is a known bug...not 100% sure but that's what i thought. there is supposed to be a workaround here on the forum.
Edited to add: this is the link to the other conversation about it:

Also works for US NIV but not NIV - Anglicised. Looks like we have a partial fix in A19.1 which works in some Bibles and not others. We may have to wait for some improvement. [:)]
Make sure the reindexing is complete, i.e. when you *think* it's done restart L4 and it may reindex a bit more of your library. I had the same problem as you about an hour ago. It's all working now.
Robert:
Thanks for the link, but that thread is for A19. This problem persists in A19.1.
Stephen:
No such luck with the indexer here. Mine completed indexing under A19. Restart brings no reindexing. Perhaps a forced reindex under 19.1 is necessary? I wonder, since the "Grid" mode works, if the index could really be the root problem.
Thanks,
John

Might be worth a try. Leave it to run overnight!
I think this is a bug due to some of the changes in the search code for Windows 4.0d. Since we use the same code, we get the same bugs. I tested the latest 4.0d build on a Windows laptop and it exhibits the same behavior. Any Bible which does not have a reverse interlinear returns no results in Verses and Aligned views.

Tom,
Thanks for the speedy diagnosis. Glad the grid works, at least!

As a follow up to my post, I did a "rebuild index" in the command bar (wait for the text to appear, then click on it). This will start the indexer and rebuild your index. After this, Aligned and Verses views in Bible search should work. I spoke with the developer who's doing some of the search work for 4.0d and he confirmed that this should fix the problem. After reindexing at work on my MacPro, search worked as normal for non-interlinear bibles in aligned and verse views.
