Atlas still not working

Since the release of the new atlas tool I can't get it to work. I have commented on this thread https://community.logos.com/forums/t/166412.aspx?PageIndex=3 I was told my logs showed the problem (?)
I am starting this new thread to draw attention to the issue. Anyone else have a problem?

I am still unable to get the Atlas to work. It finally worked in one of the later Beta version after some initial hiccups, but not anymore after installing 7.15 Beta 1 (7.15.0.007).

Hi Mike,
While your logs showed that you were experiencing the same problem that we were aware of, we still have to figure out how to fix it. We are working on this issue and will update the original thread when we do. I'm sorry for the delay. The team is working on it.

Greetings, I wanted to know if this problem was already solved in the atlas tool, since I also had the same problem that many have commented in this forum. Please be good to publish or inform us when this problem is completely solved, since I am from the Hispanic community, and at least I see that only in English this problem is discussed, but personally this tool is very useful to me. I am grateful to be informed when it is already available ...

It is mid-July and my atlas is still not working. I am teaching in 2 Samuel and need my atlas for maps to illustrate the places that we are discussing. We would like a date for when you expect to have this fixed. This is a critical study tool and we are only being told that Logos is aware of the problem and working on it. Is it a low priority? A high priority? Feedback would be good.

Feedback would be nice.

Sorry for not responding earlier. It was too early to discuss while we were still looking into it.
We have just completed our investigation. There are known compatibility problems with some specific graphics cards* and WebGL features (the display technology that powers Atlas).
Chrome and other browsers have code that disables WebGL on these devices. Logos Desktop uses CEF (which is basically an embedded version of Chrome) so it has this same code.
We are planning to override the CEF code that is disabling WebGL in an upcoming beta (no specific beta targeted at the moment). There is obviously some risk that overriding the GPU blacklist will cause other issues on the affected hardware.
We are not able to test on every single potential GPU combination so we will be looking for feedback from users about this change. However, the change does seem to allow users of some incompatible GPUs to use Atlas (most specifically, 2011 Macbook users with an Intel HD 3000 graphics card).
* For specific information about your GPU and WebGL, you can navigate to chrome://gpu in Chrome.

Any news about a version where this issue will be fixed?

This was added in 7.17 Beta 2 https://wiki.logos.com/Logos_7.17_Beta_2, which hasn't shipped as a stable release yet.

Here it is 2021 and I've developed the same problem with the atlas and other features in LOGOS 9. When first installed, everything seemed to work fine. Now I am getting features that stopped working; such as atlas measuring distance; Bible browser not working at all. Never been able to get any direct answers, solutions or replies from LOGOS team in emails. Sure detracts time instead of helps from Bible study, trying to figure out who and where these problems lay [software; my computer-browser; etc.].

Sorry to hear you are having problems Dennis
However, I recommend creating a new thread in the Logos 9 Desktop forum - https://community.logos.com/forums/155.aspx - and providing as many details as possible.
The reasons for the issues you are having may be very different from those discussed here and it would be good to try and work out what is going on and, hopefully, help get them resolved.

I'm a new user with Logos 10 Baptist Gold, and 95% of the time when I click on the Atlas, I get just nothing. Brown nothingness. It often says it has trouble with my internet connection, but my internet is just fine. I've downloaded everything and have auto-updates. It would be lovely to be able to use Atlas.

Ellen, you have posted in the Logos 7 forum. Please repost in Logos 10 OR ask that this post be moved. You will probably be asked to provide logs so we can see what is happening. Diagnostic Logging (logos.com)
