Importing sermon files from Logos 3 to Logos 4

I understand that I cannot add sermons directly to Logos 4 (with sermon file addin software). I added this week's sermon to Logos 3 and would now like it import it into Logos 4. I see all my other sermons were imported to Logos 4 when I upgraded last week.

Wow, that's news to me! That isn't one of the implemented importing features yet. How did all your other sermons import? Where do they appear now in L4? I thought that because we don't have the Sermon File addin yet in Logos 4, we couldn't have sermons in L4 yet. I had only one sermon in L3 and it has never come across into L4. At least I wouldn't know where to look for it in L4. Please enlighten me!

Also, what version of Logos 4 are you using (check the About Box), and are you on Mac or Windows?

Did you do your sermons in the notes files or with the Sermon File addin in L3?
I ask this, because I do not see any of my sermon files in Logos4, but all of my note files did transfer over.
I am currently running the Beta 4.0c (4.03.3.9511)

If you did use Notes for your sermons, as Praiser asked, then you ought to be able to reimport everything (as long as you still have it all over in L3) by typing import all in the command bar.

We're out to trick you [:)] I believe that you need to use the scan command to get your updated sermon file. You can't update L4 directly but you can user scan to keep L4 up to date with L3.

Rosie MJ is right. We can view our sermons/illustrations in L4. We have had this since the beginning. To find them I just type in my last name in the search box and they come up.

Are your sermons found in the default location (MyDocuments\Libronix DLS\SermonFile\) ? (Did you try to scan there?)

Did you prevent your sermons from being uploaded to Logos?

(Just asking some diagnostic questions here.)

EDIT: if your sermons are found in your default location you need to scan there with the command: scan C:\Users\[your name]\Documents\Libronix DLS\SermonFile (substitute your Windows log on name for [your name] of course.)

Thank you Richard, I didn't know how to access them. I thought they would have appeared where the note files appear under the file tab. I didn't know I had to do a search to find them. Did the search you suggested and they were there.

OK, you can tell SermonFile is not a feature of L3 I was very familiar with. I had never actually entered and compiled any sermons in L3 until just now. I tried one, and tried scan C:\Users\Rosie Perera\Documents\Libronix DLS\SermonFile to import it into L4 (and restarted Logos). It doesn't seem to have done anything. A search on words in the title didn't find it. Where should it show up? Under "My Content"?

Did you restart Logos? A scan doesn't execute until you close and restart.

It turned out I had to wait for indexing to complete (I thought it was unrelated, since I'd just received a new update of some sort from Logos) and now I'm able to find it among my monographs. Cool! Who'd 'a thunk it?

Thank you MJ Smith. The scan command imported Sunday's sermon from L3 and after restarting L4 I was able to view it with my other sermons.
