A20 - Thanks for Footnotes in Pages

Does this only apply to pages 09?

Hey! No fair! You Mac guys got a feature before we did! [+o(] (there's no green-with-envy smiley so I'll have to settle for the sick one)
EDIT: I was wondering if there was any list of what features were functional in Mac Alpha so far, or a release-by-release listing of what was new, like there is for the Windows version. I found the release notes page, but it hasn't been updated since A13.

I can't seem to get that feature to work for me. Is there any special settings I need to make in Pages?

It's been available on the PC since launch (you need "Copy Footnotes turned on").
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

Yeah, I know about that. But he seems to be talking about something called Pages, and I did hear a rumor somewhere that Logos was working internally on page layout functionality so they can do a reading view like what people have been requesting.
Or were you just pulling my leg? Sometimes I don't pick up on British humor.
But you could very well have been talking about copy/paste to Word, and Joe might have been too, because I see what looks like an insertion point at the top of the image, and that wouldn't be in Logos, would it?
Never mind. I just realized it's a Mac thing.

Mark - Please do not disabuse Rosie!
'She knows enough that she doesn't need to buy a Mac. Macs are for those who don't like having to hassle with operating system complexity. She thrives on it!
All her hard-earned knowledge would be put to waste if she got a Mac. Seriously, she's never been tempted to switch. There's still so much more she can do on a Windows machine that she hasn't fully discovered yet that she is not yearning after things people who have Macs claim that only they can do.'

This does not seem to work correctly with non-bible books that contain foot notes.
I pasted one passage from Calvin's institutes OK, but when I pasted another that had its own footnote, no footnote at all was generated in Pages.

We've only tested it with Pages '09, and at this time, we have no plans to officially support earlier versions.

You need to turn on in the Preferences for Logos 4 "Copy Footnotes" or if you only want the reference citation and not the all of the footnotes for the abbreviation you can turn copy footnotes on, but have copy citations on alone. Both will work just type (⌘,) to open up the preferences.

Karl and Mike:
Can you confirm for me that you have tried Joe/Philana's suggestions and the results? I'd also like to know what version of pages you two have, and what citations from what books you are trying to copy. Thank you.

OK, that one is up-to-date, but the main one linked from the wiki home page (http://wiki.logos.com/Mac_Alpha_Release_Notes_and_History) hasn't been updated since A13.

yes, the preference is correctly set. I am using Pages '09. Everything worked Ok with a Bible passage but not with a passage from Calvin's Institutes. However, this morning I tried it again and it seemed to work this time. Will let you know if I see the problem again in any consistent way. thanks

I got it to work. It will not work when inserted in a text box!
