I've spent four-five hours today preparing for a sermon and have been reminded of how blessed I am to have access to Logos software and a range of resources.

I've been able to:

  • use Clippings to keep track of key pieces of information
  • use a range of searches to track down references and details
  • track down a footnote to a particular clause of rabbinic teaching
  • used the Factbook tool as a starting point to a particular area of study
  • make use of multiple dictionaries
  • check details in commentaries
  • organise information on my screen in a way that makes sense to me
  • produce a sermon manuscript within Logos with good links to other resources

And I do this most weeks - making use of different tools and resources - but I was reminded today of how powerful and useful this is and just wanted to mention it.

Thanks to those at Faithlife who make this possible - and for the support it provides to me in my ministry.

Graham

Ditto! In spite of certain improvements that need to be made, I still use Logos as my number 1 Bible software for teaching and preaching. 👍😁👌

A triple AMEN to this post, Graham.  Logos has been a transformative product for me and my ministry. Certainly, it has enhanced my sermon prep and study. However, it has also very much enhanced my personal walk with God and Bible reading. Count me as an extremely satisfied customer.

Every now and then I just have to stop and be in breathless awe for awhile. I simply love Logos, what it does and how it has opened up knowledge and made it accessible.

Thank you, Faithlife!

Thanks too to the folks here on the forums like Graham who help us understand  the knobs, buttons, bells, whistles, accelerator, clutch, keys and ignition to keep Logos running well.

I cannot imagine why everyone wouldn't use Logos.  I am doing my part to convince them.

I agree - the Faithlife team deserve our real thanks and appreciation! I'm neither a pastor or  minister, but over the years the Logos library and tools have opened worlds for me as well as those with whom I share. Keep well  Paul

Thank you for the kind words everyone. It's nice to hear.

On a personal note, I don't just work here. I use the software as well. I was a Libronix user before I began working here and I've been using Logos regularly as part of my ongoing ministry roles I take on in the the evenings and weekends. When I switch from employee to user I often find myself thinking "wow, this is a pretty nice tool!"
