Thanks for the suggestion. I have done that on a newer MacBook but I’m interested in getting rid of the MacBook (someone else on the team needs it. The older iMac I have isn’t going to work very well as a remote terminal since it can’t run the latest Mac OS. Just this week I got a notice inside of Proclaim saying that my version of Mac OS will not be supported much longer. I guess I’ll drive it until it dies, so-to-speak. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I'm also on the same boat, we are using the a computer during service, but would like to have a way to edit the service via ipad or maybe and android to let other members of the team to modify services in advance from their own devices.

would also like to have atleast the preview mode in ipad or android, not just the timeline view

I see that people have been commenting about the whole IPhone and or iPad abilities for well over two years now. iPhone nor iPads are new to the mobile device arena, as I’ve had them since day one of inception and released to the general public over 13 years ago. My question is why for over 2years of posts here or better yet over 13 years of iOS mobile devices isn’t proclaim fully functional from iOS devices? We bought proclaim here recently because of it’s stated abilities to operate from iOS well that was misleading as it’s not able to do much at all other than read only.

Hi, Greg, sorry that the iOS app didn't live up to expectations. I'll make sure to take a look at the marketing material and ensure what we are saying is true.

Currently, the iOS app can control, follow, and present your presentations (minus video support), plus, let you view the confidence monitor for your presentations. We don't have any editing capabilities at this time. We think presenting from the iOS app is great for something like a small group bible study.

As for why we don't have the app with full editing on iOS, I think up until recently iOS was a lot more about content consumption rather than creation. Recently though, Apple seems to be changing that with new features, specifically with iPad, such as the Apple Pencil, keyboard/mouse support, etc.

We do value all your feedback and it definitely does influence our development roadmap! As for now, however, I don't have any news with regard to an iOS app for editing presentations.

As we now approach 2nd quarter of 2021, a time when virtual church has become more of the norm than ever and technology moving in a faster pace to provide us with efficient worship service preparations, any chance at all where we can do full edits to Proclaim on an iPadPro. Pretty Please? And thank you so much!

Hi Mark!

Thanks for the thoughtful input, our team has discussed this topic and a solution. I don't have any information to share on that at the moment but I advise you make a feature request on https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/faithlife-proclaim. Our developers keep there eyes on feature requests there so they can map out where to develop new tools and features based on needs in the Proclaim community. That would be a great place to add your request and also vote for other requests.

It really is time for this.  I think faithlife is about 5 Years behind on all of this.

I hope your team regularly checks for and merges duplicate requests, too.

Any update? How is this not on the top of the developer list by now 3+ years later?

Where are we at with making Proclaim editable on an IPad? Has a decision been made to do that or not? I would like to know more than saying “we are working that.” Are you developing it or not…are you going to for sure do? that Thanks!

Two more years have gone by and no movement on this request as far as I can tell. I remember years ago that I used to use and LOVE Olivetree software on my Palm OS devices. I had purchased a significant number of resources in their ecosystem. I was an avid Palm OS fan and even worked for FranklinCovey at the time as a technology trainer specializing in Palm OS productivity apps. When the iPhone came out, I immediately recognized the sea change that was beginning. I was baffled at the LONG delay at Olivetree in supporting the new iOS platform. The explanation provided by the devs was that there was a huge Palm OS audience that was owed support and they simply couldn’t do everything they’d like to do. I think we all know how that played out. I think Olivetree is still around but I don’t really know anyone that still uses it. My guess is that nearly all of those Palm OS Olivetree users are now using YouVersion on their iOS devices.

Now, I’m not suggesting that Faithlife is going to bite the dust because of their lack of foresight in supporting the rapidly evolving iPad OS ecosystem (secondary monitor support, M2 iPad on the verge of release, etc.). Logos alone is enough to hold their place with iPad users and iPad support for that product has been steadily improving. However, there are A LOT of good presentation solutions for iPad OS. Canva is even throwing their hat in the ring these days. I’m sure providing edit support for the iPad OS experience of Proclaim is not trivial given the wide variety of capabilities it entails. But I’m guessing the vast majority of churches that use Proclaim barely scratch the surface of the feature set and use Proclaim primarily as a Sup‘ed up PowerPoint substitute. Of that sizable segment of the Proclaim user base, I’d also wager that a high percentage of the Pastors and Music Ministers use iPads in their workflow (even the PC users commonly use iPads). It would be a shame to be talking about this 10 years from now and mourning the loss of Proclaim (even though Logos will surely survive) because the dev team and Faithlife leadership could not clearly see the inevitable impact the iPad is having on the future of the portable market.

This thread and these requests are now 4 years old. The pace of progress in the iPad OS universe is gaining, not slowing. Will Proclaim get in the game? I hope so.
