How to change Text Comparison Tool default
I'm not sure if this is new to Logos 8 or not but I can't seem to find how to change the default versions that the Text Comparison Tool uses. I noticed this when exploring the Basic Bible Study workflow and when I hit the 'compare Bible versions' link the comparison tool opens with the same versions no matter what previous ones I set and saved. I've prioritized all the Bibles I want to see, but this tool seems to ignore that list for its own. Is there a way to change this that I am missing or do I have to change the selection each time with the left/right arrow selectors?

I hadn't seen this but can reproduce what you are saying.
It seems to be linked to using the Text Comparison Tool from within a Workflow.
If I just invoke the Tool separately, it uses the set of Bibles that I had selected last time I used it.
Sounds like a bug in how workflows invoke Text Comparison.
Hopefully someone from Faithlife will be able to comment further.

Argh - a Logos Black Art indeed.
After constructing searches this skill marks the Pro from the Novice.
Type something like this
To get suggestion about which Bibles you might like to include.
As you click on the boxes to the left they will jump up to the top...
When you have made your selection empty the search box...
And now for the magic bit (please don't share this as it gives us MPVs a bit of kudos for being able to answer these queries)
Take your cursor out of the selection box and click anywhere else in the Text Comparison Panel.

I think the issue is that this doesn’t work correctly within a workflow

You are correct, Graham. Though it was interesting to follow Mike's steps. Felt a little like old video game cheats where you have to get the sequence exactly right! Up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A etc... [:D]

It seems to work for me with the added caveat that you do need to deselect the volumes that are in the existing list.

Workflow authors are given the ability to select resources they want in the text comparison tool. Currently, only Faithlife authored workflows can do this.
This functionality will be coming to the Workflow Editor within the app as well.

Any news on this?

Christof, the ability to control which Bibles are used by a Workflow TC item was added to the Workflow Editor in 8.2 beta 1 on Dec 17, 2018.
A subsequent bug was apparently introduced, however, since I'm no longer able to edit the Workflow intent (either the existing one or a new one).

Wow, Philana, you're good! 👏🏽 I was planning on submitting a bug report, but hadn't even gotten it done.
