Question: Notes AutoTag

I have a single note I am working in and have pasted several passages. On 4 of the passages the reference has auto-tagged the scripture reference. On the other 2 the entire passage is linked, with each verse as its own link. Did I do something different between the two? I don't think I have ever seen a situation where each verse hyperlinks automatically. Secondly, is there a way to remove those links? The keyboard command for remove formatting has once again been changed to faithlife assistant, and I cannot find any other GUI related place to perform the same function to strip the links from these notes.

    Hi Tim

It's normal for hyperlinks to be added to bible references, but not to entire passages!

To remove them, have you tried the link icon on the tool bar (4th from the right)?

Thanks for the report, Tim. That's definitely some strange behavior :-) I've filed bugs for both the ctrl+space issue, and the unexpected tagging. I'll try to take a look soon. You should have a "clear formatting" toolbar button at the end that looks like a T with a slash through it. It seems we neglected to attach the keyboard binding.

Brian, Thank you very  much for pointing out that button. It will see some definite use until the keyboard shortcut is fixed. You may find it useful to check with a previous instance when this same problem occurred. The keyboard shortcut seems to actually be attached to an entirely different function that summons the faithlife assistant, which happened before and was fixed in 7.11 after the assistant was introduced in 7.10.

I think I have figured out how the tagging of the entire passage happens, and is at least for me consistently repeatable. If I past a passage into a note, then highlight that same passage and paste another passage in its place (think paste and then reconsider a longer version, or different verse) the newly pasted verse is always hyperlinked in its entirety as I showed above. It's probably an edge case but I think a bug nonetheless.

This is now fixed in 8.0 SR-2.
