Recently I bought "Teaching the Bible series" and I was reminded how much I like these type of resources. It reminds me of Allen P Ross's "Creation and Blessing." I am aware of "Teach the text series"  and will pick this up eventually.

Can anyone recommend more of these type of resources? Resources that help with the teaching of a book. I have Preachers outline and sermon bible but I do not find it helpful.

This a "bump" but also a plug for an addition to the "Teaching the Bible Series"  on prepub.

I highly enjoy this series. I use it often. I think it is among the best at what it is intended for. Scholarly commentary, application insight, illustrations, and thematic summaries. Excellent series!

Welcome, Damien, to the Logos user forums!

Thanks for contributing to this thread.

Damien Stevens:
Perhaps the book 'Basic Bible Study' by Keith Brooks will be useful for you. There you will find a short description of this book and the opportunity to write a review if you have already read it.

I personally find it most helpful to make users aware of books in the Logos ecosystem (buying them elsewhere is so inefficient). Thus I regularly check whether resources I recommend are available at Logos.com or at ebooks.faithlife.com. Keith Brooks' book is - even for affordable $0.99: https://ebooks.faithlife.com/products/40429  and of course people can write reviews there as well!

https://community.logos.com/forums/t/136723.aspx reveals what I found at Baker's website. Does anybody know if another publisher is picking up the remainder of this series?

The Exalting Jesus series is helpful for sermon preparation - link below. It has the added advantage that volumes are available separately and only $9.99 each. Older volumes (pre 2017 at a guess) are often on sale for $2.99.

Hi Mike:

Not an expert, but seems to me if teaching is what one wants then consider:

https://www.logos.com/product/146462/teach-the-text-commentary-series

More expensive but that will give plenty of angles to base teaching:

If you want to focus more on application then check the following article about how to leverage Logos for that:

Hope this helps.
