So, when searching and the query returns results in the form of links to resources, say if I search for the book of Romans, the results window has many resources that correspond to Romans. So, if I touch one and it opens and I view what I want and then go back to the search page, it loses the focus on the search term. It will still be in the search box, but the listing of results/resources do not relate to the search term. So, I have to search again. It did not used to do that. It would retain the list. Is this now intended behavior?

I can’t reproduce this.

Are you using Android or iOS?

Which version of which app are you using?

Well, I am an idiot. I see what I did. I said in the Search window as in Search... what I was trying to say and my brain was in the wrong mode, was searching for a resource like changing a resource. Please let me try again. If I have a split window open and a Bible on the left and a commentary or other resource on the other side, and I want to search for another resource and go to its search window, if I search for Romans and select one and then go back to change the resource the listing of resources is not retained.

I'm sorry but I don't follow the steps you are outlining

Please clarify - if you can post screenshots that would help

Here is after first selecting a resource for search term 1 Corinthians. The first list had all 1 Corinthians resources listed. I touched one and then it opened. Then , I touched change resource and this list showed up with a different assortment including some form Romans.

This is the expected, if not desired, behavior. When you typed "1 Corinthians," the library started combing through your resource's metadata for either "1" and/or "Corinthians." The Romans commentary has "corinthians" in the metadata about the author, since he wrote commentaries on those books as well (see below). NOTE: "1 Corinthians" is not the same thing as "First Corinthians" for the purposes of your library search. A passage guide would be a better way to search for commentaries.

Interestin... I don’t recall it doing that before the Logos 8 upgrade.

However, if the metadata is causing this behavior, why does it do it only after I have opened a resource from the search page and then gone back? If I search for a new resource and use the term 1 Corinthians the Black's commentary shows up nearly at the bottom of the list. it moves near the top only after I open one resource from the search and then go back to select another.

Check the sort order in the two Library panels.

The one you show has “recent”, how about the earlier one?

I have tried changing the sort order. Same thing happens.
