I am able to do a search to identify PRAYERS as a literary type. The search is {Section <LiteraryTyping = Prayer>}. The results are exactly what I was looking for but when I select Save as Visual Filter nothing gets highlighted. Any ideas? Is this a search that cannot work as a filter?

Are you associating a highlight with the Visual Filter?

Can you post a screenshot of the Visual Filter that is created?

I did this search, and was surprised to find that the first prayer as a literary type is in Second Samuel 7. There are certainly prayers in Scripture before that point; is the data set incomplete, or is my installation weird for some reason?

FWIW, I am searching All Bible Text in All Passages in the NASB, and the search phrase is: {Section <LiteraryTyping = Prayer>}

Nothing wrong with your installation - but it does raise some questions about how these types are defined and there scope.

I suggest you start a new thread exploring this so we don't lose focus on the issue Michael is having.

Thanks Graham - not sure what the problem was. I deleted the visual filter, redid the search and saved it again as a visual filter and this time it worked. Thanks for your willingness to help.
