Logos 8.6 Beta 3 saved the day. It works great with OS X Catalina.

Works for me as well.
For the record, I'm running Mac OS 10.15 Beta (19A501i) and Logos 8.6.0.0046.
I've installed Catalina on my internal drive, using a secondary volume (created in Disc Utility). I also created a symbolic link to my Logos library under Mac OS 10.14, so no downloading was necessary.
What about the beta 2 just released today of MacOS?
Yikes!! Too late!
I will try to use the web version.
To be honest, a lot was paid for this program... This should NOT be the norm!
Still praising God as I go!

With all due respect... Beta software is for testing purposes. It is expected that things will not go right... which is why people test. I understand the desire to have the latest & greatest... but that is not the purpose of beta testing. Faithlife does not support its software on beta operating systems, nor should it be expected to do so. Faithlife SHOULD be expected to ensure that its software will run on the new OS upon its release OR provide warnings to hold off.
For those brave to experiment with Beta... Also note: Just because a particular piece of software works with one beta build does NOT mean that it will work with a later beta build. Apple can (and does) add things to the betas as they go along. These changes can cause software to become incompatible. I am not speaking theoretically, I am speaking from personal experience.

Thanks for your response. I'm sure they (you or whomever) are/is already working towards Logos working with this upgrade. I'm sure it will work as well as it always has. Since "BETA" versions are for testing, I'll continue to keep watch when it starts working. Otherwise, there may need to be a warning upon purchase at these conferences and such, concerning these kinds of things happening. I'm sure that it would be a deterrent for sales.
Yes, I am also aware of what being a "BETA" tester is about, and I've been through similar issues with programs over the years... but the OTHER programs that have high price points and have high usage, would PROBABLY have a patch by now. - THIS I am speaking from experience on my end.
Again, thanks for the response.
Too funny!!!

Logos should be ready to go when macOS 10.15 is released. For clarification: I do not work for FL.

Logos works with the release version of macOS. No need for any warnings.

Technically Logos is free.
As for the other part, what do you mean by "high usage"? If you mean "billions of people use the software" then you are mistaken. Logos may have high market share in its category, but it is still niche software. It is a family owned business.
Lastly, if you think you know better, FL is always hiring talented new developers.
Cannot say that I’ve seen any “patches” from anybody (not even Microsoft) to allow their programmes to run smoothly on ever-changing Beta versions of OPERATING SYSTEMS. Even a large company would not be able to keep up with all the changes.
Also, if you read through this forum you will see post after post advising you not to try to run Logos on beta versions of operating systems.
Play around as much as you want and have fun with the software. But if you won’t follow the rules then don’t belly-ache about it, please!
Hi Tim,
Do you know where I can download the latest Logos Beta. I can't launch Logos at all on Catalina. Thus I cannot set my Logos to update the beta version.
Thanks
Joe Heng:Do you know where I can download the latest Logos Beta.
The latest was advertised at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/182533.aspx
However this is now the stable release so installing this may not necessarily help depending on what version you have installed.
This latest stable release was announced at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/182564.aspx - you could try the download links there.

Faithlife are committed to providing support for New OS (for current/supported versions of Logos); which means they will provide an update/patch when that new OS ceases to be a Beta. FL may provide fixes prior to then, as happened with the current v8.6 when it was in Beta. A final update could happen via a Service Release* of v8.6, after the new OS is released. However, it's not unknown for a release version of Mac to contain a change that affects Logos, so another Service Release would be needed!
* a Service Release is an update to the current version, and it can occur when/as needed; unlike a Beta version which runs on a fixed cycle (usually 6 weeks) before it is released.

Based on you guys saying it was working for a few of you I made the mistake of updating to Catalina and it WILL NOT START.
Yes I know. Not supported. Just warning for other people who might consider jumping on the beta bandwagon for macOS. DO NOT DO IT IF YOU WANT LOGOS TO WORK. It might, but might now. In my case does not.

I have tried to beat the drum.
As a reminder: Just because it works now doesn’t mean that it will work in the future. Part of the beta testing process is to add features. When Apple doe this, it may break Logos. Beta 2 may be compatible but Beta 3 not.
JT (alabama24):Technically Logos is free
Ok.
Looking forward to it!
Thanks for your kind words.
Mine now works! I used this link: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/182564.aspx
Thanks for your assistance!
Kevin, I don't work for FL. But I had the same "hanging" on start issue when I first upgraded to Catalina. I deleted all my Logos caches in the OS library, ran cron scripts... and it started working for me. I am not saying this will fix yours. I am just sharing my experience. I am running macOS 10.15 Beta (19A501i) and Logos Bible Software 8.6 (8.6.0.0052). Hope it gets working for you.
