What makes Logos faster
a) Installing Windows on ordinary HDD and Logos on SSD
b) Installing Windows on SSD and Logos on HDD
i don’t have space to do both unfortunately
Unfortunately, you should probably install your OS on the SSD because it affects everything you do unless you ONLY Use your computer for Logos. In which case I'd put Logos on the SSD, but that's the ONLY reason I'd do that. The things that help speed up logos are...
1. SSD
2. Fast Internet
3. Other hardware specs like plenty of RAM, fast processor and dedicated graphics.
It's a bit of a resource hog for what it does.
If you have a choice of drive for the OS, why don't you have a choice of a bigger SSD? Why is the hard (?) drive so small - abt 64 GB?
Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E2T0B/AM) now $299.99 was $399.99
Samsung 860 QVO 1TB Solid State Drive (MZ-76Q1T0) V-NAND, SATA 6Gb/s, now $119.92 was $129.99
I have Logos on a new Evo 2 TB SSD mentioned above on a 10 year old computer and Logos sizzles.
I used to only have a 128gb ssd with my os and Logos running on it just fine. It's space management. However, when upgrading, SSD's are much more affordable now, especially for those for computers running Windows.
SSD are getting cheaper nowadays. 500GB SSD is only around 100 plus dollars. But SSD also have two kind of SSD. It is best to get the one with pcie nvme interface and not sata 3 if your computer can support it.
