The book, What Luther Says, edited by Ewald Plass - published by Concordia - is wonderful volume of Luther's quotes.  It's a gold mine. Yes we have Luther's writings available, but this topical book is fantastic.  Let's give it some love!

This book and Logos are perfect marriage - making this truly great resource searchable in ways that simple table of contents and index cannot.

Yes Agreed!!!  Add my vote to get this book into Logos!   A few minutes ago, after reading my hardcover edition, I was looking for it on Logos.com, hoping to add it to my Logos library.  Does Logos not have a web page where we can vote for books?

Peace to you, David!          *smile*                ...   and Peace to all!                                Great Joy in the Lord!

David, I couldn't even begin to tell you how thrilled I would be to have Dr. Plass in Logos!            Wow!

He was my Professor at Concordia College, Milwaukee, back in the 1950's!              A humble servant of our Lord Jesus Christ and of his beloved Church, Dr. Plass served so well in so many ways.

In my second or third year at Concordia College in Milwaukee -- I was 18 or 19 -  (Hope to remember exactly when, someday!), the famous Missouri  Synod Professor and author (What Luther Says  --  This was before the multi-volumed Luther’s Works was released) – The Reverend Doctor Professor Ewald Plass addressed our class (an all male Ivory Tower school BTW!) at the beginning of the Fall Term:  “Men, I require you to memorise 1000 Bible Passages – both ways!”  (He would say John 3:16, we would say “For God so Loved….”, then vice versa.  He would say Isaiah 53, we would say “Who hath believed our report?  And to whom is bthe arm of the Lord revealed?             For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, And as a root out of a dry ground:

He hath no form nor comeliness; ….then the rest of the chapter) - many whole Psalms, many larger selections from the New Testament!        Praise God!    Somehow we did it!             King James Version back then, of course!          *smile*            Praise God for Dr. Plass!         His whole life -- like that of Luther -- was centred squarely on The Word of God and at the very centre of the Word of God is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, our Beautiful Saviour!!!             *smile*

Logos, I would be so grateful to be able to buy this book as an electronic resource!

b See ch. 51. 9. So Ps. 71. 18.

Philippians 4:  4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. 5 Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand..........

"When Moses writes that God created Heaven and Earth and whatever is in them in six days, then let this period continue to have been six days... But, if you cannot understand how this could have been done in six days, then grant the Holy Spirit the honor of being more learned than you are."

- Martin Luther

I am still anxiously hoping this might make to Logos... not all of us want the complete writings of Luther, but being able to access this wonderful anthology might lead some to desiring the broader set.

I'd grab the Logos version if it was available and give my hard copy to someone else Wink

I know someone who might have purchased Logos 6 if What Luther Says were available (the purchase would have been a certainty if the NIV84 were still available, too!).

I'm tired of slapping my big volume of What Luther Said on my equally weary copier so that I can get a good quote for my administrator to paste into the church bulletin. The binding can't take much more of this...  BUT.... if Logos and Concordia could make this happen...!!??

Another year has passed.  It's 2016 ...and while Logos has released many more books about Luther, we are still looking forward to some encouraging news about this one!  Smile
